Fast Forward to now and we’ve hosted a lot of COYER Challenges!
We went from a couple times a year to a year-long challenge; we did some crazy seasons and some monthly chaos…..These hosts are tired!
Life has been crazy for everyone and running the challenge has gotten a bit more than we can handle. But don’t worry COYER isn’t going anywhere! The hosts are just going to take a break this year (going Out to Lunch) and we are going to let COYER run itself (Sort of).
COYER Out to Lunch
COYER Reading Challenge
This is the reading challenge, where you add your reviews to the linky. COYER Out to Lunch will continue to be run primarily by Michelle.
This will be a year long challenge, going back to the old days of strict rules when only free and nearly free books count. No Chapters or Seasons just a year long challenge of Cleaning out your E-Reads!
- This includes review books, tour books, NetGalley, Edelweiss, etc.
- What’s nearly free? No more than $5 for eBooks and no more than $7.50 for Audiobooks (or the equivalent in your currency).
- This year Library ebooks and audiobooks will count – just no physical books.
Borrowed books (from friends), Kindle Unlimited, Amazon Prime Books, and Audible Plus Catalog books do not qualify. Basically if somehow you/a friend had to pay to get access to it, it does not count.
We will have three check ins throughout the year so you can link up any progress, either in a post or a challenge page (however you keep track) the post will be in the month of March, June & September
COYER Community
This is all the extras we do in the Facebook group and will be run primarily by Berls and Lillian. Stephanie decided to take a step back moving forward. We thank her for her support these four years and wish her the best as she moves on. Like the reading Challenge, Community is going to take a step back and be a year long challenge with 1 Rafflecopter.
If you are part of the COYER community on Facebook you will still have readathons, regular prompts and the read-along chats.

Jan 12th – 26th READ A BOOK FROM YOUR FRIENDS LIST 
Links to everyone’s friends list will be in the sign up post comments, just pick a book from your friends list and read it. This is also a great way to get a buddy read. Why read it alone when you could read it together. Make sure when you link your review you link your friends name and goodreads so we can see the book on their list.
August 1st – 31st Recommend me a Book

Announce your participation! This can be a blog post (or if you don’t have a blog – Facebook, Twitter, Mastodon, Hive, Instagram, TikTok, Goodreads, etc.) If you want to list books you would like to read, that’s great, but not necessary. The point is to let everyone know you’re committed to COYER Out to Lunch, maybe share some goals, and help spread the word. Not sure how to do your post? Check out this example from a previous COYER.
Okay, I’m going to try to actually stick with this one this year! But I want to use it to read books that were freebies I downloaded and get some of those done!
