I just finished Falling Kingdoms but I haven’t written a review yet because I really was a jerk reading this book. I had started and stopped about 3 times to put this book on hold to read other books.
Shame on me!!!!
I really wish I stayed with this book till the end because I really liked it. I really really did!!!! It was Game of Thrones for YA (mind you I haven’t read the Game of Thrones books, so I’m assuming. I LOVE the HBO series, I will eventually read them but after the HBO series is over cause I don’t want to ruin the show which is totally backwards, it’s ok that’s how function best, totally backwards)
Anyway before I give it a review I wanted to post the synopsis of the book so you can see what it was about. I think my review will be short because its one of those books that if you give to much away you ruin it for everyone else and I’m not a ruiner (made up word sort of cause I did a google search for it and it showed up as a word, who knew!!!) of stories.
Falling Kingdoms (Falling Kingdoms #1) byMorgan Rhodes
Cleo: A princess raised in luxury must embark on a rough and treacherous journey into enemy territory in search of a magic long thought extinct.
Jonas: Enraged at injustice, a rebel lashes out against the forces of oppression that have kept his country impoverished—and finds himself the leader of a people’s revolution centuries in the making.
Lucia: A girl adopted at birth into a royal family discovers the truth about her past—and the supernatural legacy she is destined to wield.
Magnus: Bred for aggression and trained to conquer, a firstborn son begins to realize that the heart can be more lethal than the sword. . . .
The only outcome that’s certain is that kingdoms will fall. Who will emerge triumphant when all they know has collapsed?
so you can love them too.
I couldn't get into Cinder. I can't wait to hear what you have to say about Scarlet. Just because I couldn't like Cinder, doesn't mean I wouldn't like Scarlet, right?
I've just begun following you. If you get a chance, please check out my blog.
Thanks for the follow!!! I followed you back..
I had started reading a sample of Cinder about 4 months ago and didn't think i would like it so I never bought it. Then I started seeing a bunch of people talking about it and how great it was so i gave it another try. I was surprised at how much i like it. So far Scarlet has a lot to do with the first book. It's almost like two stories
I've read so many good things about this book that I'm going to have to give in and read it 🙂
I seriously would!!!! I don't know why i like it so much but its written very very well, and the characters are so likable 🙂
Happy Reading!!!
I will.. I can't wait to start reviewing it.
I do follow you already 🙂 Thanks for following!!!!
I'm the same as Sycho Faerie, I just haven't hopped on the Lunar bandwagon yet, but I'm hearing awesome things about both Cinder and Scarlet so I'll have to give it a shot. Let me know your thought!
