So I originally made the Five Finds on Friday and decided to change it up a little bit to something I think would work better, it’s still the same idea but I wont be sharing more than 5 or 6 books at a time
I will be sharing books I find and added to my To Be Read Shelf but not purchased…yet 😉
I have been in a very weird reading mood lately and once I am finished with my current review book, I plan to get into some different reads. I also want to take advantage of Kindle Unlimited especially with books that I want to try out to see if I like them. If I do then I don’t mind purchasing ebooks. I am excited about the books that I picked, besides the synopsis some of these covers are gorgeous!
Kingdom of Storms: This synopsis sounds sexy, exciting and filled with epic fantasy. I can’t get enough of the gorgeous cover either. Since I want to take advantage of KU this will be read very soon.
Synopsis: One powerful woman. Three sexy heroes. A reverse harem fantasy full of magic, adventure, hot sex, and much, much more…
As a half-breed with no family name and illicit magic singing in her veins, Tariel has spent her entire life trying to hide who she is and fighting the forbidden desires in her heart.
But when Tariel’s warden tries to foist her onto a man with a reputation for killing his wives, she realizes that all her efforts have been for naught. If she is to survive, she will have to embrace her magic and fight for her freedom–two things women in Fjordland have always been forbidden from.
Thankfully, Tariel is not alone. With a desert spirit to guide her, a fierce knight to protect her, and a handsome scholar to advise her, she might just have what it takes to escape death and seize her destiny.
That is, if they can find a way to defeat the deadliest witch hunter in history…
Strands of Starfire: Reign Another gorgeous cover but this time, it’s a Space Fantasy It’s very rare for me to read Sci-Fi but I never read a Space Fantasy this book just sounds amazing.
Synopsis: Darkness almost destroyed the galaxy a thousand years ago. He’s reborn; and Nalini just saved his life.
A captive at the mercy of the Warlord of their multi-world kingdom, Nalini has learned to hide under a mask, a lie. As far as her master sees, she’s his obedient little puppet.
Then, she meets him. The male who can obliterate the entire Galaxy.
Her world ends that day.
In the eyes of a young Seer, Kai discovers who he’s meant to be. His future is blood and death; but there’s a female by his side. A female he’d gladly destroy stars for.
If his destiny is ruling over ruins with her, so be it.
Two souls, worlds apart, under different skies. One destiny.
Warning: mature content. Strands of Starfire is a space fantasy romance with some explicit scenes.
Steam Me Up, Rawley: Two words…..Steampunk and Jack The Ripper (this totally counts as one word)
Synopsis: Jack the Ripper might be in town. But is marriage more terrifying?
In an alternate Deep South in 1890, society reporter Adele de la Pointe wants to make her own way in the world, despite her family’s pressure to become a society wife. Hoping to ruin herself as a matrimonial prospect, she seizes the opportunity to cover the recent Jack the Ripper-style murders for the newspaper, but her father’s dashing new intern suggests a more terrifying headline—marriage.
Dr. Phillip Rawley’s most daring exploit has been arriving at his new home in America in a hot air balloon. A tolerable sacrifice, if it means he can secure the hand of his new employer’s daughter in a marriage of convenience. But Adele works, she’s spirited, and she has an armored pet monkey running her errands. Not only does she not match his notions of a proper lady, she stirs up feelings he’d rather keep in tight control.
With Adele hunting down a headline and Dr. Rawley trying to protect and pursue her, a serial killer is spreading panic throughout Mobile, Alabama. Can Adele and Rawley find the murderer, face their fears, and discover true love?
Sea of Darkness: This isn’t out yet and I can’t wait to get my hands on it because Vampires and Pirates? Yes!!!
Synopsis: An unexpected partnership changes everything
Sea Slayer Kelia Starling has grown up with one truth: Sea Shadows are vicious creatures that need to be eradicated. No exceptions. Not even for him.
The Society’s sole purpose is to protect the general population from supernatural monsters, and Kelia’s their top Slayer. But when her father is murdered and her handler insists it’s suicide, she starts to question whether The Society really has her best interests at heart.
Now, to solve her father’s death, Kelia must work with an unexpected ally: Drew Knight, an infamous Sea Shadow and the most beautiful creature Kelia has ever set eyes upon. A Sea Shadow who, without intending to, just may show her who the real enemy is…and it’ll only cost her one unnamed favor to be collected at a future date.
But after her affiliation with Drew Knight is discovered, Kelia is forced to choose between what she’s known since the beginning of her existence…or a dark, terrifying truth that puts her life at risk.
Pirates Curse: This series sounds amazing and each book is written by a different author but this cover gives me goosebumps. So gorgeous! It doesn’t have to be read in order but since I am extreme OCD, I have to but they all look fantastic with amazing looking covers.
Synopsis: Once upon a time, a vampire and a witch fell in love, and that love fractured the world. Now divided into sixteen isolated Divisions, the world is an unstable and dangerous place.
In the Division of NOLA, Catheryn Beauregard fears her burgeoning magical powers. Hiding as just another slave in the home of the Hoodoo Queen, Catheryn hopes her simplistic powers will simply go unnoticed. And her plan seems to be working…until the Hoodoo House is attacked by a ruthless band of vampire pirates.
Captain Rainier Dulocke and his crew need humans to feed on. In an act of desperation, they beset the Hoodoo House and take ten slaves to sustain them. Rainier takes a girl named Catheryn for himself, but her blood is giving him terrible side effects. Still, he refuses to give her up. Even when the Hoodoo Queen demands her return.
The NOLA Division is in danger. The waters are rising. Food is running out. And the Hoodoo Queen is about to destroy everything that’s left if the pirates don’t meet her request. Now Catheryn must choose who will die: the humans who sold her, the witches who bought her, or the vampires who stole her. If she fails to decide, everyone could die.
Shoot the Messenger: Again never read a space fantasy but AH! This cover and synopsis! I really couldn’t pass it up and not add it to my TBR.
Synopsis: A new space fantasy reverse harem series where the guys are hot, the perils are many, and one rebel messenger holds the key to the survival of the human race.
Lies aren’t her only weapons against the fae…
In the Halow system, one of Earth’s three sister star systems, tek and magic—humans and fae—are at war.
Kesh Lasota is a ghost in the machine. Invisible to tek, she’s hired by the criminal underworld to carry illegal messages through the Halow system. But when one of those messages kills its recipient, Kesh finds herself on the run with a bounty on her head and a quick-witted marshal on her tail.
Proving her innocence should be straightforward. Until a warfae steals the evidence she needs. The fae haven’t been seen in Halow in over a thousand years. And this one—a brutally efficient killer able to wield tek—should not exist. But neither should Kesh.
As Kesh’s carefully crafted lie of a life crumbles around her, she knows being invisible is no longer an option. To hunt the warfae, to stop him from destroying a thousand-year fragile peace, she must resurrect the horrors of her past.
Kesh Lasota was a ghost. Now she’s back, and there’s only one thing she knows for certain: Nobody shoots the messenger and gets away with it.
Now ask me why I am having such a hard time reading? GAH! I don’t know! With all these amazing books out you would think I would be devouring them at least once a day. This is why I love KU and the ability to grab some of these from there. However a few are purchased and I have a few gift cards burning a whole in my pocket! 🙂
Have you discovered any new books you can’t wait to read?
Thanks for stopping by and Have a great day!
Happy Reading! ox
