Help me pick my next read for August! My To-Be Read List ~ Lets Vote #RH

Posted August 4, 2018 by Michelle in My TBR List / 10 Comments

MyTBRListWe sit for hours looking through our TBR lists wondering when we will ever get to that one book we were dying to read when we added it 3 months ago or maybe even a year. As our piles get bigger we realize there is just not enough time in a day to read all the books that we wanted to read. So I had a great idea, pick 3 books from my TBR Pile and have you all pick which one I should read next. This is a monthly MEME and you are more than welcome to join me. Just create a blog post with your three books and link the post below. Need the full rules? No problem, you can find them all right HERE. Don’t forget to stop by the blogs on the linky below to help the other bloggers by voting on their next read!

I thought we can keep up with each list with the hashtag #MyTBRL so add that to the end of your post so if you can’t get to the linky we can still find you 🙂

I have been on a hiatus but I officially will be back on August 19th. I am really excited about it but of course I can’t go a month without My TBR list!  Guess what I am making you pick this time….Reverse Harem again! 🙂

So this month I picked

Claimed by Gods: A Reverse Harem Urban Fantasy
(Their Dark Valkyrie #1)
by Eva Chase

Goodreads

The gods walk among us. And they just might steal your soul… or your heart.

I thought I’d survived everything life could throw at me. All I wanted was to keep my distance from the criminals I work for and get my little brother out of the hell that is our mother’s house.

Then I died and woke up to four stunningly hot gods telling me I’m now a valkyrie.

Sly, sharp Loki. Jovial but ferocious Thor. Dreamily compassionate Baldur. Grim and secretive Hod. They all have something to teach me. And around them, my walls start to crack.

But the gods didn’t summon me just for kicks. Their king is missing, and they need me to find him. The first three valkyries they sent on the job never made it back.

More power is awakening in me than I could ever have imagined—and the gods’ enemies are more devious than even they knew. It’s going to take every trick in the book for me to save myself, my brother, and these divine men who’re getting under my skin in the most alluring way.

I’m Aria Watson, and Valhalla ain’t seen nothing yet.

Claimed by Gods is the first full-length novel in a medium-burn reverse harem urban fantasy series. This action-packed, heart-wrenching ride gives you a kickass heroine, four irresistible gods, and Norse mythology like you’ve never seen it before.

The Nine (Foxfire Burning #1)
by C.M. Stunich,Tate James

Goodreads

Tricky, like a fox.
As a kitsune–a fox shifter–I have to be to survive.
Sometimes it seems like the whole world wants me dead.
Ironic, considering that’s my job–to kill people.

Thea Hunt, professional assassin at your service.
But that’s not my only vice.
I’m also attracted to the darkest denizens of the supernatural world, the men I should run from instead of fall for. Men like Mikhail, the leader of the assassins guild, Barrett, the local alpha wolf, and Nix, the skinwalking coyote that’s likely to bring the entire shifter community to their knees. And then there are my exes–Riot and Fin.

Somebody’s killing off old gods, stripping shifters of their ability to change. And a trapped shifter doesn’t last long without losing their mind. Nix knows; Mikhail wants me to kill him; Barrett wants me dead. Oh, and Riot and Fin are determined to make my life a living hell.

As the youngest kitsune to ever get nine tails, I should be able to trick my way out of this one, right?
Right?!

THE NINE is the first book in the FOXFIRE BURNING series. It is a full-length reverse harem urban fantasy/paranormal romance with a spunky kitsune (fox shifter) main character and her six love interests: a vampire, a werewolf, a coyote shifter, and a few mysteries. This book includes cursing, violence, steamy scenes, and a whole lot of magic.

Trickery (Curse of the Gods #1)
by Jaymin Eve, Jane Washington

Goodreads

Willa Knight: Dweller. Slave. Non-magical being.

In Minatsol, being a dweller means that you are literally no better than dirt. In fact, dirt might actually be more useful than Willa. Her life will be one of servitude to the sols, the magic-blessed beings who could one day be chosen to become gods.

At least her outer village is far removed from the cities of the sols, and she won’t ever be forced to present herself to them… Until one small mistake changes everything, and Willa is awarded a position to serve at Blesswood, the top sol academy in the world—a position that she definitely did not earn.

Under the sudden, watchful eye of the gods, she will be tasked to serve the Abcurse brothers, five sols built of arrogance, perfection and power. They are almost gods themselves, and under their service she is either going to end up sentenced to death, or else they are going to ruin her so badly that she will wish for it.

Either way, she is in trouble.

 Let’s Vote….

  1. So I really want you to read them ALL, Michelle! 😉 I ended up voting for Claimed by the Gods because I’m a fan of Valkyrie. However, these all sound really, really good. And I can see why you want us to pick for you. LOL I kinda forgot all about My TBR for this month. (I skipped last month on purpose but meant to do this month.) I’ll see if I can put together a post right quick…
    Miss you, girlie, but I hope you’re enjoying your time away. {{{BIG HUGS}}}

    • I haven’t read a Valkyrie book yet. I am hoping to get to some of these before the end of the year anyway. I am just loving the RH. You really need to try one!!!

  2. I voted for Trickery. I haven’t read it but heard good things! I started Claimed by Gods but it was a DNF for me. I just could not get into it at all.

    • I have heard good things about it also. Sorry that was a DNF for you. I heard it was good but you never know!

      Thanks for voting Samantha!
