We sit for hours looking through our TBR lists wondering when we will ever get to that one book we were dying to read when we added it 3 months ago or maybe even a year. As our piles get bigger we realize there is just not enough time in a day to read all the books that we wanted to read. So I had a great idea, pick 3 books from my TBR Pile and have you all pick which one I should read next. This is a monthly MEME and you are more than welcome to join me. Just create a blog post with your three books and link the post below. Need the full rules? No problem you can find them all right HERE. Don’t forget to stop by the blogs on the linky below to help the other bloggers by voting on their next read!
I thought we can keep up with each list with the hashtag #MyTBRL so add that to the end of your post so if you can’t get to the linky we can still find you 🙂
HAPPY NEW YEAR! Welcome to the first My TBR List of the year. Whether you are a rookie or a veteran at doing this I am so glad you are joining me again!
So this month I picked
Lets get some Edelweiss ARCs Read 🙂 Help me pick which one I can read first.
A Study in Charlotte (Charlotte Holmes #1)
by Brittany Cavallaro
336 pages
Expected publication: March 1st 2016 by Katherine Tegen Books
The last thing sixteen-year-old Jamie Watson–writer and great-great-grandson of the John Watson–wants is a rugby scholarship to Sherringford, a Connecticut prep school just an hour away from his estranged father. But that’s not the only complication: Sherringford is also home to Charlotte Holmes, the famous detective’s enigmatic, fiercely independent great-great-granddaughter, who’s inherited not just his genius but also his vices, volatile temperament, and expertly hidden vulnerability. Charlotte has been the object of his fascination for as long as he can remember–but from the moment they meet, there’s a tense energy between them, and they seem more destined to be rivals than anything else.
Then a Sherringford student dies under suspicious circumstances ripped straight from the most terrifying of the Holmes stories, and Jamie and Charlotte become the prime suspects. Convinced they’re being framed, they must race against the police to conduct their own investigation. As danger mounts, it becomes clear that nowhere is safe and the only people they can trust are each other.
Equal parts tender, thrilling, and hilarious, A Study in Charlotte is the first in a trilogy brimming with wit and edge-of-the-seat suspense.
Harmony House
by Nic Sheff
304 pages
Expected publication: March 22nd 2016 by HarperTeen
Jen Noonan’s father thinks a move to Harmony House is the key to salvation, but to everyone who has lived there before, it is a portal to pure horror.
After Jen’s alcoholic mother’s death, her father cracked. He dragged Jen to this dilapidated old manor on the shore of New Jersey to “start their new lives”—but Harmony House is more than just a creepy old estate. It’s got a chilling past—and the more Jen discovers its secrets, the more the house awakens. Strange visions follow Jen wherever she goes, and her father’s already-fragile sanity disintegrates before her eyes. As the forces in the house join together to terrorize Jen, she must find a way to escape the past she didn’t know was haunting her—and the mysterious and terrible power she didn’t realize she had.
A classic horror story finds a terrifying home in Harmony House, drawing on favorite tropes and edgy, modern characters to create a chilling tale of blame, guilt, and ghostly revenge.

Thank you Bunnita 🙂 I always try to pick stuff that is different.
Harmony House sounds deliciously spooky so that’s the one I chose! 😀
I really does 🙂 Thanks for voting!
I saw this meme over at Flood of Books and I thought it was such a neat idea! I hardly touched my TBR books in 2015 so I decided to change that. For this year, I want to read at least 12 TBR books. I have joined (yet again…) the TBR challenge. Now I am joining this one!!! I am so excited!
Thank you for the wonderful meme!!!
Glad you are joining! It really helps get those books read you always wanted to and it’s fun to see which one gets picked 🙂
It was kinda hard to decide between A Study in Charlotte or Harmony House, Michelle, but I chose A Study in Charlotte because I couldn’t pass up something Sherlock. 😉
I like making thing difficult 😉 Thanks for voting Brandee!
I went for A Study in Charlotte…it sounds really interesting!
Thanks for voting, Laura!
I went with A Study in Charlotte, because of the Holmes/Watson tie in. They all sounded good though!
That was the reason I picked it I hope to read it soon anyway 🙂 Thanks for voting Sarah!
I went with A Study in Charlotte for you because it’s the book of the three I most want to read myself! I hope you enjoy whichever you pick!
I really picked like 3 books I really want to read. I can’t wait to see which one wins! Thanks for voting!
It was a tough decision between Harmony House and A Study in Charlotte but I went with Charlotte because I’m really excited about that one and I want to see some reviews! Hope you enjoy your read whichever one it is!
I am excited about all three so whichever one wins I will be happy 🙂 Thanks for voting!
I was going to vote for Harmony House, but decided to go with Flashback Four since it pubs before the others. lol
Lol I plan to read them all hopefully before the pub date but Thanks for thinking of that 🙂
Not really interested in any of these, but I voted for Harmony House. I’m back to trying this meme again in 2016. I hope I stick to it this year because it is a fun way to read books I otherwise probably would continue to put off.
You don’t have to do it every month even just once in a while. It really helps and I have read so many books I never thought I would get to.
Thanks for voting Rachael!
That was really hard cause two of those are on my list to review, but decided to go with Harmony House cause I really want to know what someone thinks of that one….lol. 🙂
I thought of you when I picked it, I knew you would vote for that one.
Thanks for voting!
I had to go with A Study in Charlotte because of the Sherlock theme. Flashback Four sounds fun though! I have to be in just the right mood for haunted house books!
That is what got my attention to the book. I love retelling of Sherlock.
Thanks for voting, Shaunesay!
I voted for Flashback four, that cover looks great and the blurb sounds really interesting. And that’s saying something as normally I run the other way at the mention of time travel, but this one sounds like a fun one. I hope you’ll enjoy whichever one wins! And I wanted to say thank you for hosting this meme, I always have a lot of fun with it 🙂
I am not good at Time Travel either but it did sound like a fun book and sometimes Middle Grade does make it that confusing lol.
You are welcome, thank you for participating!
I voted for A Study in Charlotte because I am excited to get to it myself so I would love to see what you think!
Thanks for voting, I love the stories they have about Holmes relatives. I heard some good things about the book.
Had to be A Study in Charlotte for me, it sounds pretty awesome! Harmony House sounds pretty great too, though I’m a big wimp so I’d probably be reading it in the middle of the day with all the lights on only…
Lol Harmony House might be something I read with the lights on too.
Thanks for voting!
