Recapping 2020 and looking ahead to 2021

Feel free to join us!

out with the OLD: 2020

COYER went through a huge change in 2020, becoming a year long event. And I struggled to keep up! The Rafflecopter fell behind (sometimes by more than a month) and I was just disorganized. But it was also fantastic and saw the start of some things that really excited me – like our COYER Book Club. Which is why I’m super excited about COYER in 2021 and have several goals to keep it going strong.

in with the NEW: 2021

We announced the brand new COYER earlier this month. If you missed it here’s all the details for COYER 2021. It’s a lot! But here’s what I’m excited about: Michelle and I really put some thought into HOW we’d do our parts, including calendar reminders for when to announce winners, when to release new Rafflecopters, etc. So my goal is to use that calendar we set out and be super intentional about everything in the group.

I also want to be more of a participant. I’ve gotten so busy running it that I’m not DOING it. So this year as I pick out reads and do reviews, I’m going to be thinking about how they fit into the COYER Community activities and also COYER Seasons. Part of this will be accomplished as part of my project to fix my Goodreads shelves. As I read books I’m going to mark them as part of the different read-a-thons or COYER Seasons. And I’m going to update my progress on Sunday Posts. And I’m going to actually add reviews to the linky! I’m excited to be a true participant again in 2021!

What are your challenge goals for 2021? Are you doing COYER and/or another challenge?

About Berls

Michelle adopted me as part of her blog when I decided to close down my blog, Fantasy is More Fun. The blog was dying, but my love of reading and the blogosphere was still strong as ever - so I found my new home here at Because Reading!

I'm not just a book lover, but a one time author (that hopes to be more in the future), wife, mom to the cutest, happiest, best 1 year old and step-mom to the craziest, sweetest 20 year old on the planet. My family mean everything to me and they appear frequently in the Sunday Post with Berls. So grab a glass of wine and chat books, blogging, and family with me!

  1. Yes!! I always got super overwhelmed for even simple COYER because I put so much pressure on myself but now that COYER is year long I can make it work with my TBR.

I’m so excited and I’ve seen the organization you two have put into it! 2021 will be a great year!
