So the book I was suppose to read was the Neverland Wars by Audrey Greathouse. As much as it was interesting, it was irritatingly slow. I didn’t DNF it I am just putting it aside until I can read it for a longer period of time. Maybe a 24 hour read-a-thon. I felt because I wasn’t able to read it as much as I wanted it wasn’t getting far and it was getting frustrating how slow it felt. I have no plans to DNF it so I will try again later this year.
I also wanted to let you know I will be away from Aug 6th to Aug 13th, I will have a My To-Be Read list up but I will not be able to visit. I will also have the winner post on the 13th but the winner will not be up until I get back.
I am a mom to two pretty amazing kids, four pretty cute fluffy children and a wife to one adorable husband. I am a gamer, reader and a graphic designer with 20 years experience. I recently started my own business "Limabean Designs" to help other bloggers, authors and anyone else create amazing things that they would be proud to show off. I have been reading since forever and started blogging because I love sharing all the awesome books this world has to offer. I am also the co-host for the COYER Challenge, Reading Assignment Challenge and the Bookish Resolutions Challenge. I try to create a warm welcoming environment on my blog where authors, readers, and bloggers will have a great time. Let’s chat books, games, blogging, recipes, design, or family over a cup of coffee and a glass of wine!
Sometimes it just takes the right mood and a second chance to get back into a book that’s not working. I’ve set aside many books before and came back later to find them more agreeable, so hopefully that works out for you too!
Thanks Ani! I totally agree with you. If I had more time to read it longer I think it would have worked, I will revisit it because I do want to read it.
Sorry to hear your book was so slow, you put it down for the moment. It does sound promising you didn’t want to DNF it and I hope it’s a good one when you pick it up again. Maybe you just need a lot of time to read a lot of pages at once. I hope it’s better when you pick it up again!
I think that was the problem, I was only able to read like a half hour here or there and it was moving so slow, I almost didn’t want to keep reading it. I think if I could read it for a good few hours I would actually enjoy it. I will totally try it again 🙂
