New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Cynthia Eden continues her sexy “Mine” romantic suspense series with…MINE TO HAVE.
Is he a hero…or the villain?
When Elizabeth Ward sees Saxon Black rushing into the backroom of The Blade—a low end bar in Miami—she isn’t sure if he’s there to save the day…or just to raise some hell. But she’s being held hostage, and he’s her best hope of survival. Within minutes, she’s away from the jerks with the guns and riding fast and hard on the back of Saxon’s motorcycle.
Death stalks them.
Saxon has been working undercover for far too long. When he finds sexy Elizabeth—with a gun to her head—he knows he will do anything to keep her safe. But once he gets her away from her abductors, the threat to her isn’t over. Someone has put a price on Elizabeth’s head, and if Saxon can’t keep her safe from the danger stalking her, then she’ll be dead.
Their lives are both on the line.
As their enemies close in, Elizabeth and Saxon must go on the run. And the longer they are together, the hotter their attraction for one another seems to burn. Saxon vows not to let anyone hurt her, no matter what he has to do, because he’s falling fast for Elizabeth. He’ll stop the killers on her trail, and then he’ll have her. Forever.
MINE TO HAVE.
My top thoughts:
Whew more than a month later and I’m finally writing my review. Thank goodness I buddy read this with Brandee and have our conversation to look back at! I do remember very clearly that I LOVED this book. Every book in the series just gets better. It may be taking us forever to get through, but not because it’s anything less than FANTASTIC!
What I liked/didn’t like:
Mine to Have got of to a running start! So much action and mystery right from the get go. I already knew I loved Sexton from the previous books but Elizabeth came out of no where and I was quite literally going “Who IS Elizabeth?” because so much of they mystery surrounded her and why she was a target. I was on my toes the whole time. At one point I was confused because it felt like we’d solved the mystery at like 40% in… which I knew couldn’t be right. But I didn’t even see the next whammy coming. So good!
Oh and the chemistry? It was electric. I think because Elizabeth – despite being technically the damsel in distress – was a very strong, determined, “I refuse to be the damsel” kind of character. Sexton didn’t know what hit him lol!
I’m really excited for the next and final book in the series because Victor is probably one of the most interesting characters throughout the series and I think giving him his HEA will not only be interesting but challenging. Hopefully I’ll get there very soon!
Yayy for Elizabeth !
In my early days of blogging I read a lot of Eden’s books but haven’t in many years. Not sure why – just got sidetracked I guess.
Karen @For What It’s Worth
I love Cynthia Eden but haven’t kept up with her recent books. I like the romantic suspense ones more than contemporary romance. I read the first one in this series and planned to read more but haven’t. I do own 26 of her books and have not read them all.
