I’m joining Anne @ Books of My Heart in listing some of my Top 10’s of 2020. It’s not too late to join in if you want! It’s fun to see everyone’s top 10 lists. Here’s the schedule:

  • Today: Top 10 Your Choice of 2020
  • Tomorrow: Top 10 Books  you want to read in 2021 (I’m skipping this list as I don’t have many anticipated reads right now)

Top 10 Narrators of 2020

I almost skipped this one because I wasn’t sure what else I could talk about after all the other lists. But narrators make my reading experience. As I made this list I realized some of these books probably should have made my favorite audio reads of the year… but I forgot them because they were pre-COVID and I’m too lazy to go back and change it.So these are the narrators that read the most books to me this year… and some of these books were absolute favorites:

  1. Lorelei King – wow! 17 books! And all by Patricia Briggs. I love her for the Charley Davidson series too, though. Just didn’t read any of that series this year. Also, can’t believe I forgot to include these on my top 10 audio reads! I think I had them on the other lists so I just assumed I already had them listed. Oops.
    1. Shifting Shadows by Patricia Briggs
    2. Cry Wolf by Patricia Briggs
    3. Hunting Ground by Patricia Briggs
    4. Blood Bound by Patricia Briggs
    5. Iron Kissed by Patricia Briggs
    6. Bone Crossed by Patricia Briggs
    7. Silver Borne by Patricia Briggs
    8. River Marked by Patricia Briggs
    9. Fair Game by Patricia Briggs
    10. Frost Burned by Patricia Briggs
    11. Dead Heat by Patricia Briggs
    12. Night Broken by Patricia Briggs
    13. Fire Touched by Patricia Briggs
    14. Silence Fallen by Patricia Briggs
    15. Burn Bright by Patricia Briggs
    16. Storm Cursed by Patricia Briggs
    17. Smoke Bitten by Patricia Briggs
  2. Sebastian York – These were all read in January and early February. I loved them and Sebastian York is a fantastic narrator. I just forgot about them when I made my top 10 audios list.
    1. Big Rock by Lauren Blakely
    2. Mister O by Lauren Blakely
    3. Well Hung by Lauren Blakely
    4. Full Package by Lauren Blakely
    5. Joy Ride by Lauren Blakely
    6. Hard Wood by Lauren Blakely
  3. Wendy Tremont King – I didn’t forget these books when I made my top 10 🙂
    1. Marked for Murder by Colleen Helme
    2. Ghostly Serenade by Colleen Helme
    3. Dying Wishes by Colleen Helme
  4. Charlotte North  (not pictured) – these books by Tessa Bailey also made the top 10 audio reads list.
    1. Fix Her Up by Tessa Bailey
    2. Love Her or Lose her by Tessa Bailey
    3. Tools of Engagment by Tessa Bailey
  5. Michael Kramer and
  6. Kate Reading – the narration of this series is fantastic and definitely played a part in it making my top 10 audios list.
    1. A Darker Shade of Magic by VE Schwabb
    2. A Gathering of Shadows by VE Schwabb
    3. A Conjuring of Light by VE Schwab
  7. Cassandra Campbell – the narration was good for sure. I enjoyed this series, but it didn’t make the top 10 audios – it was fun but not GREAT.
    1. Married with Zombies by Jesse Peterson
    2. Flip this Zombie by Jesse Peterson
    3. Eat Slay Love by Jesse Peterson
  8. Susan Ericksen – this narrator has grown on me over the years. I didn’t love her at first, but now I’d be angry if there was a change. She is the voice of my favorite characters.
    1. Golden in Death by JD Robb
    2. Shadows in Death by JD Robb
  9. Michelle Sparks – this series had a narrator change halfway through and I missed Michelle Sparks. She was a better narrator, though the other one was good too.
    1. My Beautiful Suicide by Atty Eve
    2. Controlling Cosette by Atty Eve
  10. Luke Daniels – technically, the narrator that read the other two books for the last series read me more books… but Luke Daniels is too damn good to not make the list. So he’s my final top 10 narrator for 2020.
    1. Hounded by Kevin Hearne

  1. Excellent choices! Thank you so much for joining us in this week!

I can’t listen to Lorelei King on Patricia Briggs because I hear Charley Davidson. Sigh. I own those SebYo audios but have not listened to them yet. Kramer & Reading are also favorites of our team. Susan Erickson I love for VI Warshowski so I can’t listen to her as Eve Dallas. Luke Daniels I can listen to in anything and everything and I always love him. (Holter Graham narrates the Alpha & Omega series btw)
