Fit Readers is a group/challenge run by Felicia @ Geeky Bloggers Book Blog and Jen @ That’s What I’m Talking About, designed to support and encourage each other on our health and fitness goals. In years past I’ve participated but just done quick updates on my Sunday Post. This year, I want my goals to be a top priority, so I’m going to share my updates in a separate, more detailed weekly post. The day it appears will probably fluctuate, though, so just keep your eyes out for it 🙂
January 12-18 Goals
I’m still feeling pretty discouraged about the scale, BUT I’m not giving up. Made an appointment to talk to my nutritionist today because I know it’s my nutrition that needs to really do better to get that scale moving. Fingers crossed!
Emotional Health Goal
So my goal for January – Do Miracle Morning Routine every day, even if I have to do an abbreviated form.
How I did:I haven’t missed a single miracle morning this year so far! Weekends/days off have generally been my challenge, but with Dante I’m motivated to keep a routine (for him) and it serves me well too.
Fitness Goal
So my fitness goal for January – workout 4 times a week (and bring it!)
How I did: I did my LIIFT 4 (Beach Body On Demand) program Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Wednesday I did a 10 minute foam rolling exercise, and Saturday I went for my first C25k Run since Dante. Feeling strong!
Eating Goal
My goal is to not drink soda… and as I type this, I’m drinking a soda 🙁 Y’all why is it so hard?! I will say I’ve done a lot better though, as this is my first soda to myself in a long time. I’ve been taking sips of my husbands. But I know I have to cut it out.
Well… sorry about the sodas. Why do we sabotage ourselves like that? But great job on the emotional and fitness goals!!
I feel ya on the soda. I’ve been trying to cut it out. I just quit vaping/smoking last weekend so I’m weak right now when it come to giving up the soda. Hope you have a great weekend!
Well you are doing far better than me. There are reasons. I was doing great on the dump soda but then I have had a stressful month with less sleep and felt like I needed the caffeine some days. But before Christmas, I was down to maybe one soda a week at most. It’s never more than one a day.
Everything takes time and you have reworked so many things in your life the past 4 months. I think you are doing amazing!
