Fit Readers is a group/challenge run by Felicia @ Geeky Bloggers Book Blog and Jen @ That’s What I’m Talking About, designed to support and encourage each other on our health and fitness goals. In years past I’ve participated but just done quick updates on my Sunday Post. This year, I want my goals to be a top priority, so I’m going to share my updates in a separate, more detailed weekly post. The day it appears will probably fluctuate, though, so just keep your eyes out for it 🙂
May 15 – 21 Update
I’m a little behind on blogging this week – but wanted to get an update for the past week up! Overall, it’s been okay. Which is better than bad, but still have work to do.
Emotional Health Goal
Write down 3 things I’m grateful for daily.Â
I have not missed a day! And it’s been good for me to remember my blessings. I have so many, even if things are tough right now.
Fitness Goal
3 times a week, do a real workout.Â
I’m continuing with my C25K, which is designed to do three workouts a week. I’ve done it a few times, but this is the first time I’m actually doing 3 a week. Before, it was an added workout on the weekends and just 1 a week. So I’m feeling the progression a little more steeply, but I’m getting the runs in. The weather has resulted in some shifting of days, since running in super hot weather isn’t my ideal (especially with a face mask). Feels good to be getting the runs in!
Eating Goal
Eat 1 vegetable or fruit and get 1 high protein meal daily.
I haven’t been even trying with this one. I eat what I grab, and more often than not, it’s not the best choice. :/ I’m back to drinking a soda a day (at least it’s only 1). I’m hoping the scale will be kind to me on June 1st when I weigh in… a loss would be nice. Maintaining okay. A gain is probably what I deserve. So let’s hope I don’t get what I deserve for once…
Good for you for the first couple goals… the other stuff will come in time – at least I try to convince myself of that. I’ve been exercising but eating a LOT.
Yeah I’m not working any goals so you are doing better than me by far. It’s like I can’t organize with so many unknowns. But I do need to realize this is how it is at least for all of 2020 and get myself in shape for when the next change happens. I’m always so proud of you!
