I think this was a somewhat productive reading month 🙂 My goal was set at 10 and I read 9.
Things have been really off for me the last few months and I realize that it has been causing my blog to suffer with views and comments. I make excuses for why something isn’t done or think of doing something only to put if off. I can blame my lack of confidence in myself and for making to many excuses and not just stepping up and doing it. I worry people will think I am stupid or don’t know what I am talking about or not like my opinion and then just completely hate me…see lack of confidence. My main goal this year was to work on my confidence…so far it’s the same as when this year started Lol.
So with that being said after my vacation next week I plan to start this blogging with a FRESH head and be more original posts…no more excuses. I want you all to get to know ME…Michelle the person behind the blog. I want to do more original post that have more of my personality in them and I might even join a few Meme along the way 🙂 I do have 2 new features I want to start and I am super excited about them (one I have to wait on my kids) the other is a feature I already have. My To-Be Read List has gone interactive and now I want you all to maybe join in. I never realized how much it really gets me to read what is on My TBR List and how it helps me get through those books I had sitting in my Kindle or Shelf. I think this would be a lot of fun if others wanted to join in as well. So look for a full explanation post this month and it will start in September.
COYER is in full swing and this month was so much fun with Read-a-Thons and Twitter parties we have been having a blast. The FB Group that was created for COYER has a bunch of great ladies in it so it’s super fun to chat with them all. Next month is pretty much the last month of COYER and I am so sad because when it’s over that means summer is over as well but we have a few new things happening for COYER and I can’t wait to share them.
So Lets recap this month

Goal for August
I will keep my goal at 10, with vacation and I plan to relax the rest of the summer I am hoping to post next week that not only did I get to the goal but I went over it. I have a bunch of really good books to get to before September and I am really looking forward to them. When you are excited about a book you tend to read them faster. Looking forward to seeing what great things life and blogging have in store for me this month
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my Monthly Rewind
How have you been doing this July?
Have a Great Day and Happy Reading
I struggle at times too, I’m lucky to have a coblogger, although it gets bad when both of us are in a funk! I loved The Whispering Skull and have been enjoying COYER, especially the facebook group! Nice to have something so interactive and fun!
How fun that you are going to approach your blog differently. Sometimes I think about doing that too. I will say being original is so tough. There are just some bloggers who are so good at that. I have had a hard time doing that but I still enjoy blogging regardless.
I tend to make it more stressful than fun and I want to get back to the fun without the pressure of making sure I am posting the “RIGHT” stuff 😉 I want to just post randomly and promote whenever Lol I loved the randomness of some blogs and I think that will work for me and let people really get to know me !
I’ve been struggling with my blog for a while as well, it’s so difficult sometimes to keep the posts coming and be original. I had a few weeks where i didn’t get any coments at all and I ended up getting stressed out I said something wrong, accidently insulted someone or something. And then i started commenting on a bunch of blogs and suddenly all the commentors got back, so weird. I also have been signing-up for less book blitzes with only excerpts and giveways, because while the giveaways are nice to get some visitors,I feel like I am using those as an easy way out to have something on my blog. I’ve been trying to worry less about having a posts every day and instead focus a bit more on quality. the difficultyis that sometimes I just have no inspiration at all or when I have a great idea it takes me a long time to write the post.
I can’t wait to see what new meme you have in mind and I really like how you made the TB-read listmeme more interactive with the voting :).
I am really enjoying Coyer so far, although I missed the twitter chat’s so far and haven’t been as active beside reading books and linking up my reviews.
