My To-Be Read List #1

Posted August 20, 2013 by Michelle in Uncategorized / 4 Comments

I have SOOOOOOOOO many books on my TBR list
I decided that instead of being fresh
and keeping it to myself I figured I would share with all of you
I put most of these books on for a reason some I have no idea why they are there
but ….
maybe its a book you read and HATED
or a book you LOVED and want me to read NOW
or a book you never heard of.
I figured…
I will randomly pick one book each week to share with you 🙂
then we can chat about it

This weeks book is:
I LOVE Middle Grade books and after reading The Keepers Series by Lian Tanner,
which is fantastic by the way, I wanted to find a series just as fantastic.
I came across this book, the reviews speak very highly of the series.
I know she has already written #2 and is working on #3.
It’s a series I forgot was on my list but I am glad I came across again because I think I might want to read it soon rather than later.

I also enjoy Middle Grade because my son is 8 and I love to “test” out books for him
so when he is ready to get into reading I have a list of books to recommend
to him that I know is something he will LOVE.

Keeper of the Lost Cities
(Keeper of the Lost Cities #1)
by Shannon Messenger

Hardcover, 488 pages
Published October 2nd 2012 by Aladdin
edition language English
Twelve-year-old Sophie Foster has a secret. She’s a Telepath—someone who hears the thoughts of everyone around her. It’s a talent she’s never known how to explain.

Everything changes the day she meets Fitz, a mysterious boy who appears out of nowhere and also reads minds. She discovers there’s a place she does belong, and that staying with her family will place her in grave danger. In the blink of an eye, Sophie is forced to leave behind everything and start a new life in a place that is vastly different from anything she has ever known.

Sophie has new rules to learn and new skills to master, and not everyone is thrilled that she has come “home.”
There are secrets buried deep in Sophie’s memory—secrets about who she really is and why she was hidden among humans—that other people desperately want. Would even kill for.

In this page-turning debut, Shannon Messenger creates a riveting story where one girl must figure out why she is the key to her brand-new world, before the wrong person finds the answer first.

How awesome does that sound?
I think it will be a fun read with a lot of action.
I know it says page turner but I have a feeling and usually my feelings are correct at it will be one of those books that play like a movie in your head it usually happen when I read Middle Grade books.

I hope you enjoyed this new feature. Check back every week to see
What’s on my TBR List 🙂
