Tell Me Something Tuesday is hosted by Rainy Day Ramblings. Check out her blog for upcoming topics! I saw a post by Jen (Twimom) and thought it was fun and decided to join in. So I’ll be jumping in sporadically 🙂
What book worlds would you like to visit?
When I saw this prompt, immediately two places came to mind. First, Harry Potter… and not as a muggle please! I would also love to visit Pride and Prejudice. Kind of like that movie (I can’t think of what it’s called… Lost in Austen? … but it was like a fairy tale!), except I would never stay. Sorry, I like my modern conveniences.
After some more thinking, I think I would also like to visit Kim Harrison’s Hollow‘s series. A world where magic and vampires, pixies, etc are part of day-to-day life sounds really cool. And, once again, I’d like to not just be a human. But I guess just being part of that world could be cool.
Some of the other worlds I’ve enjoyed reading are a bit too dangerous for me to really want to visit or so similar that what would be the point? But I’ll save that for next week 😉
Yes… I can’t believe I forgot HP… I’m horrible. And all the scary worlds – only if I have superpowers first! LOL
LOL! Right?! Definitely need some modifications before I’m ready to visit 🙂
If we’re talking visiting, but not staying, I could do a few of my favorite historicals and urban fantasies. Yes, to HP and P&P. 🙂 I’d like to see Jeannie Lin’s Tang Dynasty Pleasure District for the Lotus Palace series and Carol Van Natta’s futuristic Central Galactic Concordia series.
Yes, big difference between visiting and staying, right?!
I would like to visit Oxford in Discovery of Witches just to meet my favorite characters…lol.
LOL! I know, I thought about some of the books I would like to meet the characters – but they’re too dangerous! 😛
I couldn’t answer this one. I mean…most book worlds are scary – so only under very specific circumstances lol But the real world is scary now so I guess any one where the rebels win. Ha

I had the same problem – authors have made their worlds really terrifying, some even too much for a brief visit! I’m not sure I’d make it out!
Even though it can be kind of scary, I wouldn’t mind visiting Anne Bishop’s world in her Others series. I want to hang out at A Little Bite, browse at Howling Good Reads, and meet Vlad and Simon and all the rest.
Oh that one would be scary, but if you timed it just right and managed a brief visit, you might make it out alive!
