Tell Me Something Tuesday is hosted by Rainy Day Ramblings. Check out her blog for upcoming topics! I saw a post by Jen (Twimom) and thought it was fun and decided to join in. So I’ll be jumping in sporadically ๐
So first off, yes, I know today is Monday. But the way our posting calendar worked out this week, it was the best day to post. So be sure to check out everyone else’s posts tomorrow!
Romantic Reads Recommendation
I’m a big romance reader, so recommendations are easy to come up with but SO HARD to narrow down. I thought I would start be recommending The Read Me Romance Podcast, because I have enjoyed the shorts and novellas they feature on there so much, rating most of them between 3 – 4 stars, some even 5 stars. It’s run by the romance authors Alexa Riley and Tessa Bailey – they chat before each audiobook reading and I enjoy their conversations as much as the books. Not to mention, free audiobooks!!!
The podcast has been around almost a year and a half now and I’ve listened to every single episode. Every week they feature a different audiobook. When the podcast first started they broke it into 5 parts, releasing Monday – Friday. Now they have the podcast on Mondays and Fridays only.
2 of my favorite romances this year I actually found because of the podcast – and I listened to them, so I definitely recommend audio if you do that format. Both by Tessa Bailey, I loved Fix Her Up and Love Her or Lose Her.
I also binge read the Big Rock series by Lauren Blakely and so recommend it (again on audio).

I loved Fix Her Up and I have Love Her or Lose Her from the library right now. I own the entire Big Rock series but have only read 1 of them I think
You can’t go wrong with Blakely on audio ๐ I like romance as a side. You’ll notice I don’t review very many straight-up romances. I will check out the podcast!
I’ve not tried the Tessa Bailey books, but my review partner loved them – and the Lauren Blakely titles. I need to try both!! Thanks for the recs.
I love getting good recommendations from podcasts or wherever. Always fun to discover a great new read. Have a great week Berls!
You are not the only one to recommend their podcast and I’m certain that its fab. I will pick up pretty much any sub-genre of romance so I’d have a hard time narrowing down a recommendation list, too. ๐
So I mostly read PNR these days but if you’re interested in that kind of romance I can give you author recommendations for sure. Christine Feehan, Laurel K. Hamilton, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Larissa Ione, Cara Bristol, Eve Langlais.
For Cowboy romance my favorite is Diana Palmer.
