Week in READview:

On & Off the Blog:

Sometimes I think things will slow down, then I find a kitten….I forgot how toddler they are. Figaro is a BOY! ewe did assume he was a she but the vet confirmed he is officially a boy. He’s also absolutely insane and we are loving every minute of it. He really doesn’t know how close he came to living on the streets and how much love he is getting in this house. He feel he will be spoiled in no time  *whispers* he already is. The other cats are ok with him, Poppy is scared to death and Calliope just hisses at everyone. Auggie and the dog Dexter seem to be more chill (need to know who they are check them out on instagram @theparsonspets )

Since my mom passed, I have been struggling a lot more this week since the house is almost done. The closing is Aug 18th, we have gotten rid of a lot of stuff.. Two weeks ago we had an estate sale and it was pretty good, we sold a lot of stuff and it made a dent but not as big of a dent as we wanted. So I have seen a lot of facebook pages to give away free stuff, so we had a take it, we don’t want it sale. We had a line and we got rid of almost everything just not the furniture which we will call Habitat for Humanity to see if they will take it. Once that is done, the house will be stole, I have struggled this week since I miss her so much.

I read a book, it’s been a while and I made it a short one but I did read a book. It has started something in my soul that is making me want to read and realizing how much I miss reading. I need a Bloggiesta (iykyk) to get blogging again. I am hoping to spend some time doing both. I have plans for the BER months. I am just hoping I can do it. I also need a new laptop since the one I currently have is so old, I can’t take it off the charger.

Read & Currently Reading:

Stage Fright was a good book, a good Middle Grade Scare, perfect for October

We used to live here, I just started so I am hoping it lives up to the hype I heard.

Going to Barnes and Noble today so I should have an updated next week on what I grabbed.

  1. That’s so nice you adopted another kitten. I checked your instagram and saw the pictures there, he’s so cute!

That sounds so tough with having to clean your mom’s house and how much you’ve been missing her.

That’s great you read a book, those shorter books can be great when you don’t have as much time to read. I read a few shorter ones during the move as well.

  2. I’m so sorry about your Mom. It’s really hard going through the house. I didn’t have much time, maybe an hour, when we sold my Mom’s house. We didn’t live near her anymore. I wonder what happened to some things. I should have made a list of things before I went but I had other problems. I had just moved myself and my daughter was working on some health issues and just starting back to college. I probably didn’t need more stuff anyway. I hope you have a great month and take care of yourself too.
