Real life & Blogging:
Last weekend on Sunday we celebrated the Kittens 3rd birthday. I can’t believe Auggie and Calliope are three already. Furbabies grow up just as quickly as human kids! They are still super cute and adorable.
Speaking of cute and adorable. Poppy Von Schweetz, the baby velociraptor is getting spayed and her hernia fixed on Monday. I’m a nervous wreck but we are hoping that it calms her down a touch but not too much since she is so much fun and keeps the other two on their toes.
Last week work was so slow. It’s making me so nervous. I am hoping we pick up at work or Limabean Designs picks up because I don’t know what we are going to do. So with that said is anyone is interested…”Are you a blogger and need a new feature, meme or challenge you want to start but don’t feel like making a logo? Well…Let me do it for you! For $5 I will make you the logo you need. Email me today to get started Limabean74@gmail.com!”
I posted something new this week about Podcasts. I’m obsessed with them and since Jan have listened to so many it’s unreal. I plan to review and share all of the podcasts I have listened and still am listening too. I am also working on something for October that I am hoping I can get organized for the first week of September so if anyone wants to join they will have time to get posts ready for October. The last 3 months of the year are always my favorite and I have tons of ideas that I am hoping I can actually do.
Books:
Miracle Creek Christmas is such a great book, I am loving how hallmark it feels and it’s making me long for the holidays. I have a feeling I am going to be super sad when I am done reading that. My next read is a big boy, and my Series in a Month challenge series. All of the books are big and I hope to read at least two of them but if I read all three before the end of September I am throwing a party with drinks and confetti because I would be so impressed with myself. lol
Ghostland turned out to be a pretty good read but I had issues. I did a review for it yesterday if you want to check it out.
Reading:
What I grabbed:
Book box book is gorgeous and I have been thinking of cancelling but the last 4 or 5 books that I got have been stunning and I love the colored edges and alternate cover. Next months book box book is going to be amazing, I already know what it is and can’t wait to get it! 🙂
I have The Poppy Wars already in ebook and I saw book two was on Sale so I grabbed it. Might turn into a series in a month read if I grab the last one.
Of course, I have my proper romance books and these two come out next year. I love Shadow Mountain Publishings stories and can’t wait to read these. They are both set at sea and on a ship. I love a good ship story.

It’s been ages since I’ve popped by the blog! Sorry, I’ve sucked with keeping on top of things all summer… I’m so glad we’re moving into the autumn! I always feel better in autumn and more on top of things. It’s my favourite time of the year, Sept-Dec. 🙂
I’m sorry things are hard right now! The world is a dumpster fire… I’ve emailed you about some design work. I need things and I’m crap with all things graphically inclined…
Hope poppy’s surgery goes well and she bounces back quickly. I think I’m unofficially doing the series in a month challenge this time as I love it but have no idea what series I want to choose!
I hope things at work pick up soon for you!! Things are stressful enough right now without having to worry about jobs too.
Your pets are adorable. 🙂 And I hope Poppy comes back to you with at least a little bit of feisty left. Lol.
Book club was SUCH an outlet for me today. I’m glad we got to talk. I can’t wait to see what your event in October is going to be!
I know, just another thing that seems to just hang in the area and make you feel like you are in limbo
Thank you, Poppy is all over the place we just need her to sit for longer than 2 seconds. lol
Book club was good tonight, I love going even if I didn’t read the book, I just like the idea of listening to you all talk books because I have no friends that chat books.
Best wishes for Poppy’s surgery.
I’ve heard good things about the Islington series.
Wishing you a great reading week , and more work.
Thank you!
Me too which is why I am so excited to start it. I should be done with my current read by tomorrow so I can dive in.
3 years already! Wow! And “baby velociraptor” lol. Good luck with her procedures on Monday though!
I’m starting to like podcasts more too. and ooh yes fall- I love this time of year. all the blog activities and stuff, Halloween, lol…
Hope you have a great week!
I know they grow up so fast. OMG she really is and she makes these noises that sound like a bird or dinosaur it could go either way lol
I live on Podcasts., I listen to them at work all day. I am such a true crime fan, I even listen to them a few times if I like the story they told.
Happy birthday to the kittens! They’re very cute. I hope work picks up for you soon. Have a great week!
Thank you! They are ver good babies.
This summer has felt like we are stuck with no answers, no plans, no solutions. I hope for fall to bring some new things. I have tons of things I want to do sometimes and no motivation to do them. At least I have been able to keep reading. I do need to look seriously how I am spending my time because too much computer and social media. Enjoy your last week of “summer” and I hope things improve.
100 times yet. I am like in limbo and need to take some time away from the computer .
I love the last three months of the year. So much that can be done.
Sorry to hear work is so slow, Michelle! I hope it will pick up AND that limabean designs will pick up as well.
Sending you many good thoughts about that.
I miss you so much! I wish I could climb through my computer to come have a chat with you and maybe a cup of tea or something. *BIG HUGS*
I do too, Fingers crossed!
I miss you, we should try to have a girls chat on like zoom. Just to catch up with Brandee and Kim and anyone else that wants to join.
I hope things pickup at work for you soon. I was looking at some of your pre-made covers yesterday and thinking 1- how great you are at or and 2- how much I wish I could make a living writing. But when to find the time? My day is jam packed!
The kitties are adorable and look pretty much the same 😂 good luck with Poppy’s surgery. I hope she calms exactly the right amount lol!
Miss you – talk later at hook club? Hugs!!
Thank you! I wish people would buy my covers, I still don’t think I found the right people but I don’t know how to get anymore people in the group. I really want to start making more.
You still have plenty of time to do it, Dante want be little forever.
They do look the same, they just lost all that kitten fluff. Fingers Crossed, she is adorable but good lord, she is all over the place.
My work got super slow over the summer (freelance editing), but it seems to be picking up again. I wonder if the good weather had anything to do with it. Hope things pick up!
I am hoping we pick up also. I would hope that once the summer is over things will pick up again since less people will be on vacation.
Ooh nice haul! Some new to me ones here. I hope you enjoy each and every one of them!
Here’s my StS
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
Thanks Jessica
Hopefully things pick up at work and Limabean design soon. I’m sure that is stressing you out. Happy birthday to the cats! And I hope everything goes well with Poppy
I hope so too. I love designing stuff and I hate that I don’t get to do it as much. I am working on stuff so I hope that will help.
