Top 10 Audio Books of 2021
Since I only read 25 books published in 2021, I choose to do the books I read in 2021 regardless of when they were published. I also read 3x more audio than print, and while that made the pickings tricky for yesterday because I didn’t have as many to pick from, today it’s hard because I have so many to choose from. That being said, here are my top 10 audio books of 2021 (links are to my reviews):
- The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab narrated by Julia Whelan (5 stars – and my #1 book of 2021, all formats)
- One by One by Ruth Ware narrated by Imogen Church (5 stars)
- Faithless in Death by J.D. Robb narrated by Susan Ericksen (5 stars)
- Men Love Witches by Danielle Garrett narrated by Amanda Ronconi (5 stars)
- The Particular Charm of Miss Jane Austen by Ada Bright narrated by Cass Grafton and Alison Larkin (5 stars)
- The Prince’s Blade by Christopher Mitchell narrated by Shaun Grindell (5 stars – the last of a trilogy that got better with each book!)
- Single Dad Seeks Juliet by Max Monroe narrated by Stephanie Rose and Alexander Cendese (5 stars)
- Heart of Obsidian by Nalini Singh narrated by Angela Dawe (5 stars)
- Shield of Winter by Nalini Singh narrated by Angela Dawe (5 stars)
- Shards of Hope by Nalini Singh narrated by Angela Dawe (5 stars)
So for my audio reads, the bulk of the books are Tantor Audio review reads, along with a couple book club reads and, of course, books from the Psy-Changling readalong we did this year for COYER and hosted by Anne.

Ohh I also quite liked one by one, I reckon it shall be great as audio with different voices for both girls!
Single dad seek Juliet seems interesting.
Angela Dawe is a favorite of mine as is Amanda Ronconi. I’ll have to check out some of your others.
I can see why you have three Nalini books! I haven’t put together my list yet, but I’ll have something by the end of the year.
I’ve read 6 of these. Of course, the Psy-Changelings are awesome but I read ebook, also ebook for Faithless in Death. Addie Larue and One by One were audio reads for me too. Thanks for sharing and joining in the fun.
Those 3 Arrow books – all so good! I also listened to Addie LaRue which I thought was good and also a tad long and repetitive- but it is about Someone who is immortal and bored with life so…
Nice list. I see several books I want to read for myself. Most of my favorite audiobooks were nonfiction I think.
