24 Hour Dewey #Readathon April 2020 – I’m half in!

Posted April 21, 2020 by Berls in Dewey Readathon / 7 Comments

Ok, so I’m half in, because there is no way I’m even trying to participate for the full 24 hours. My sleep is way too precious right now… I have a 7 month old after all. BUT when I am awake on April 25th, my plan will be to be either reading or cheering on readers. Except when I’m taking care of my son, of course.

This quarantine has been hard on me (I know I’m not alone in that), so I’m really hoping that some time connecting over love of reading will boost my spirits. I haven’t participated in a few years and I miss those happy days, so maybe this will bring me back there? A little bit?

As for what I plan to read. I’m currently working on Avery Flynn’s Parental Guidance. If I finish that (which I hopefully will because we have book club for it on Sunday) then I will go back to my Patricia Briggs reading. I’ve been working on catching up on the Mercy Thompson Universe since December and am almost there.

Are you planning to participate?

Berls is planning to join in on the 24 hour Dewey #readathon. Are you in? Share on X

About Berls

Michelle adopted me as part of her blog when I decided to close down my blog, Fantasy is More Fun. The blog was dying, but my love of reading and the blogosphere was still strong as ever - so I found my new home here at Because Reading!

I'm not just a book lover, but a one time author (that hopes to be more in the future), wife, mom to the cutest, happiest, best 5 year old and step-mom to the craziest, sweetest 24 year old on the planet. My family mean everything to me and they appear frequently in the Sunday Post with Berls. So grab a glass of wine and chat books, blogging, and family with me!

  1. Wishing you all the best for participating with a 7 month old. Time is precious. Remember to get some sleep!
My daughter is now 3 years old, and I’ve only even been “half-in” since she was born. This year I’m hoping her grandparents will look after her so I can be “all in”

  2. I just signed up, I figure I have nothing better to do and I love the 24 hour readathon. I will be only half in like you but just cause I am not young anymore and if I can do 16-18 hours I call it a win!
