I wanted to love this book. I did think it was a cute and the stories in the book are really good but the overall story just wasn’t my cup of tea. Not sure why I just feel like it was taking too long. The stories the boy had to write were so good, I actually wish the book had more of those short stories, I just wasn’t connecting with the overall story like I had hoped.
I think it was just taking a long time to get to the point and half way in I decided to spend the rest of the time skimming the pages and reading the stories. I wanted it to be interesting and love it but I think it would be better for middle grade kids. I think they would enjoy this story more than I did.
Overall it might not have been for me but I think others might enjoy it.
