The second book in the Turner Street Chronicles and follow up to Turner Street: Where the Monsters in the Closet are Real !
Following the events of the first book in the Turner Street Chronicles, things seemed to have settled down for the children of Turner Street. After banding together, the Turner Street children defeated the demon known as Charles and took back their neighborhood. However, things are not as they seem. Charles left a parting gift, in the form of the Cain Seed. The surviving children must now race to discover the whereabouts of the Cain Seed and destroy it before it sprouts.
If they fail, they will lose much more than just their neighborhood.
This collection of short stories is their legacy.
Welcome Back to Turner Street.
Wow, just wow…I don’t even know were to begin. First if you haven’t read the first book you need to stop reading this and go read it. Seriously it’s amazing, then come back and read this review or just skip to the bottom. 🙂
We are back on Turner Street and it’s about 6 month after the last book left off. Things are still chaos, the team has been disbanded but something still isn’t right on Turner Street. No one know about the Cain Seed and things are getting a lot more intense. The book is still told in multiple POV’s each chapter is a different person, you will get a chapter or two of a repeat characters. I still think this was done brilliantly, never confusing and give the story so much depth. I honestly was on the edge of my seat. 80% into the book I almost stopped reading because I was so worried about what was going to happen next. I obviously continued, the twist was not what I was expecting. OMG that end, as I write this I already added the last book to my currently reading. I can’t wait to read it.
This series is becoming a favorite of mine, the story is short but you wouldn’t even realize it with all that is going on. It’s so full of details and character build, I can’t even explain how awesome this series is. You are introduced to a few new characters in this book and I really want to tell you about the other characters from the last book but I can’t. All I will say is no one is safe in these books, NO ONE.
Overall this is a I really enjoyed this book just as much as the first. I think we are about to get into an epic war and this book has all the action and adventure you wanted and needed to read. The characters are still amazing and my heart breaks for the ones that remain. I am not sure this is meant for young kids but YA and Adults will love the creepy and sometime scary moments. Seriously I can rave all day about this but I really need to read book 3..NOW! 🙂
