Fit Readers is a group/challenge run by Felicia @ Geeky Bloggers Book Blog and Jen @ That’s What I’m Talking About, designed to support and encourage each other on our health and fitness goals. In years past I’ve participated but just done quick updates on my Sunday Post. This year, I want my goals to be a top priority, so I’m going to share my updates in a separate, more detailed weekly post. The day it appears will probably fluctuate, though, so just keep your eyes out for it 🙂
December 1 – 6 Update
I decided to start my updates running Monday through Saturday moving forward. Even though I’m posting on Friday, a week starts on Sunday or Monday and starting it on Saturday was just too confusing. So this update is actually November 30 – December 6, but I’m using December goals for simplicity sake.
This week defeated me. I started out really trying. By like Friday, I was done. The stress of a fussy Dante and the scale not paying off from my efforts even slightly… I was done. By Saturday I was eating Holiday Oreos, not worrying about what I ate or drank in the slightest and not even caring if I worked out. I rescheduled to see my nutritionist Monday, so I will get back on track. She’s great at helping with that.
- Get down to my pre-pregnancy weight (ongoing goal – not just for the month) and stay below start weight for the month. Up so many pounds… like 7 or more. I stopped weighing by Saturday.
- 1 healthy treat per day, wine 3 times a week max. I suck at this. I stress eat and I guess I’m stressed.By Saturday I threw in the towel and just ate WTF I felt like. Not a great plan, but I was over it. I have an appointment with my nutritionist on Monday and will try to get back on track.
- Get in 2.5 hours a week of virtual exercise classes.
- Monday – 30 minutes
- Tuesday – 30 minutes
- Wednesday – 45 minutes
- Thursday – 20 minutes
- Friday – none
- Saturday – none
- Drink between 64 oz and 1 Gallon of water a day.
- Monday – yes
- Tuesday – yes
- Wednesday – yes
- Thursday – yes
- Friday – nope
- Saturday – nope

I hope your appointment on Monday helped. I know I’ve also had those days/weeks lately where the stress and other COVID factors get to me, and I also over indulge. I wish I was the kind of person who exercised when stressed, but nope, I hibernate and eat. I hope you are doing better my friend. *HUGS*
I hope the nutritionist was a help for you. You’re so good at this. I know you can do it but the stress doesn’t help.
I’ve gained weight this year and I hate it. But I also have been eating junk. Partly I have to go back to meals at regular times instead of “waiting” for my daughter to get up to make a meal. Waiting means I snack on anything. She used to get up at noon, then it was 3 and now it’s more like 6 or 7pm sometimes as late as 9pm. So I have to have my meals and she can get up or eat leftovers.
Ugh, sorry to hear it was such a rough week. 🙁 That was me last week. I was only up 0.6 lbs which was a miracle. But I was up almost 4 lbs the previous week. I had a come to Jesus moment with myself on Monday and turned this week around big time. I’m down almost 4 lbs and feeling really in control. I hope after Monday’s appointment you feel more in control yourself.
