Fit Readers is a group/challenge run by Felicia @ Geeky Bloggers Book Blog and Jen @ That’s What I’m Talking About, designed to support and encourage each other on our health and fitness goals. In years past I’ve participated but just done quick updates on my Sunday Post. This year, I want my goals to be a top priority, so I’m going to share my updates in a separate, more detailed weekly post. The day it appears will probably fluctuate, though, so just keep your eyes out for it 🙂
December 8- 14 Update
So this was a really rough week for me, emotionally and it translated into some pretty crappy self-care. Dante got sick for the first time with fever and I had to take him to the doctor. I’m not going to go into all the details here, because I already went into it with my last Sunday Post, so feel free to catch up there.
Emotional Health Goals
I wasn’t sleeping well and was just so incredibly anxious this week. I do think that the little I did to stick to my routines for mental health really did help though.
My emotional health goals for December and how I did last week:
- Do at least 2 pieces (out of 6) of my miracle morning every day! So I did NOTHING on Monday, when Dante was the sickest. The rest the week I did at least 3 pieces every day.
- Blog at least 3 times a week. I worked through lunch all week, making up my hours, so no, this did not happen.
- Give myself quality time with Dante every day. Um yeah, this week was all about Dante. He got everything I had and then some 🙂
Fitness Goals
Exercise is a stress relief for me, so I actually did pretty good getting in workouts. A few times I chose sleep over working out, but overall a good week for fitness.
My Fitness Goals for December and how I did last week:
- Do Beach Body workout 3x a week. This week was just 3x. I did Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday
- Take 1 walk (weather permitting) over the weekend. This did not happen. It’s too damn cold and I had so much to do at home.
Eating Goals
Here are the goals I set and how I did:
- Meal plan on Friday for the upcoming week & get everything prepped over the weekend. I did this on Saturday, so I’m saying good enough.
- Get in a minimum of 64 oz of water daily. The only thing I think I did pretty well. I’m able to drink water pretty non-stop at my job.
- No more than 2 sodas a day. Um yeah, you know that stress and lack of sleep? I drank soda like it was the only thing nourishing me. Sadly, it kinda was. I wasn’t hungry and I didn’t really eat last week.
Don’t beat yourself up! You are doing a fabulous job. I hope this week was better and Dante is healthy. And you are healthy. I hope you and your family has a wonderful Christmas!
I think you are doing amazing. Each week will be a bit different but you are doing all the right things.
