It is that time of year again…well almost and I plan to do another year of How does my garden grow? Last year my garden died pretty early and I was sort of bummed but we just didn’t get enough rain and it was so hot no matter how often I watered it, it just didn’t seem to help. This year I have a new plan for the garden, last year I over did the tomatoes and the climbing beans turning into a huge mess of vines, beans and leaves. The tomatoes took over the garden and they were just so close together, the zucchini never happened and my peppers were the best. I am hoping this years layout will be a lot better and I will have a garden full of yummy stuff.
This year I plan to do tomatoes again but keeping to the cherry tomatoes and a two big beefsteak tomato plants, peppers plants (because I love them), basil, parsley and a few other things if I find anything else I might want to try. I am hoping this year will give a better crop and the plants will live a lot longer 🙂
Do you plan to plant a garden this year?
The posts will start sometime in the middle of April!
Thanks for stopping by
Have a great day and Happy Spring!

I wish I had a place to grow things! I could use my great-great-great grandfather’s garden, but that would mean driving so far to get there and I can’t do that. Have you ever tried squash or pumpkins? We also did peas growing up.
I need to get started thinking about mine. I’m a bit behind as it is but I can’t same I’m feeling particularly motivated this year. I am looking forward to fresh tomatoes though!
If the weather would just pick a temp I would be able to at least get started. It’s driving me crazy that I can’t yet.
I started seeds about a month ago and I transplanted the seedlings to the garden and started more seeds. Hopefully this year will be a better year than last year. Good luck with yours! 🙂
I can’t plant anything until the temp starts acting normal…It’s driving me crazy but I might till the yard next weekend to get the soil ready.
Good luck with your garden, I hope we both have great gardens!
Fingers crossed for us 🙂
