KITTENS!!!!! Two mischievous kittens!!! This week Auggie got checked by the family vet and we were able to get the stitches taken out and the cone came off. He seems to be more social now that he doesn’t have a cone. Calliope also got checked, she is doing very good. The only problem I am having with her is I think she might be in her rebellious teenage years and she’s only 5 months. We tell her no and obviously she doesn’t listen, lol. Saturday she stole my daughters banana muffin, like my daughter put it down and she snatched it. I can’t wait for their little razor kitten teeth to fall out because good lord, my fingers will be so happy! It’s normal for them to bite, however, she bites hard, but only when given treats, because I don’t think she realizes that she isn’t suppose to bite that hard. Plus she needs to learn fingers aren’t food. We will be working on that over the next couple of weeks because I’m losing a lot of blood! 😉

They still have quite the following on Instagram, if you have instagram, stop by and check out all the pictures of @TheParsonsPets. 🙂

It was 80 on Wednesday and the rest of the week was under 45….It’s getting obnoxious now!

This week I was able to post a few things and also a new feature. Five Finds on Friday, it’s a post that tells you about 5 books I found while exploring the internet for books even though I have a ton already. I really enjoyed doing it and will plan to do it again in a few weeks. I also did a Currently I’m this week and realized how much I miss doing those so I might do more. I have quite a few posts for this week but it will be slow for a little until we can catch up.

Did you see me visit? I was able to stop by a few of my favorite blogs this week! I also was able to read a bit and if felt really good. Now if I can get a good flow going I might be able to do this every week and it makes me excited and really gets me super motived to do stuff on the blog. I know it will take some time to get a routine going and be more organized but I have been trying this week to utilize my time better and follow my planner as closely as possible.

Last Week on the Blog:

What you might see this week:

  • Bingewatchers Club Post ~ Riverdale and Bates Motel plus a little NXT.
  • Monthly Book Report
  • Bookish Conversations ~ Book Ratings
  • My TBR List March Voting

Bookish News:

I LOVED Fallen Empire but I was sort of bummed it ended at 67%. The second book is coming out on Tuesday, I believe, so I want to read it ASAP. I am in LOVE with the cover of Sea Witch and so far I am enjoying the story, fingers crossed it doesn’t fall apart.

  1. Aw, lovely kitties! We lost our gorgeous girl to cancer in December and have been flirting with the idea of getting a new kitten (our remaining cat seems a bit lost without her friend) but we’re still very sore about the loss of our Freya… Maybe later in the year. I love seeing peoples cat posts.
Loving the covers for the Sea Witch and The Queen’s Rising.

  2. Yay for the cone coming off! I imagine that’s pretty disorienting for a little cat. We had a rough phase with our kitten. He was dumped when he was too little to be away from the mama cat and needed some behavior modification because he’d become so aggressive. It got better pretty quickly and now he’s just a normal teenager brat cat. The Sea Witch cover is gorgeous and hopefully Fallen Empire #2 lives up to the first. Have a great week!

  3. Your kittens are adorable. Seeing them makes me want to adopt but I can barely handle our one dog lol. It’s great you are finding time to blog. I need to figure that out too. Work drains my energy lol but I miss blogging. Hopefully I’ll figure out a way to do more. I hope you have a great week!

    • Thank you! We are LOVING them, We were going to wait until september but those faces just got me. They are a handful but over time they will adjust. We can’t get enough of them so we have patience 🙂
It’s hard to keep up with work, kids, design work, reading and blogging. Sometimes you have to put something on hold to enjoy other things. I do miss blogging a lot and hope that in a few weeks I can get back to it with a better schedule.

  4. Aw cute cats! Kittens are amazing but yeah WAY mischievous, lol. We just got our newest one fixed on Friday so she’s recovering and kinda lethargic this weekend…

    The weather is nuts. I can’t even…

Fallen Empire and sea Witch both look amazing.

  5. That’s awesome his cone finally got off. Although having had rats who can’t wear a cone, I definitely do see the benefit of a cone, but it does look a bit sad to see your cat wear it. That’s great he’s more social now that the cone is off. I’ve been enjoying all the pictures you post of your kittens on Facebook, they are so cute!

Here it feels like we’re in the middle of winter, it’s been really cold here these past few weeks. I hope the weather there settles soon as all those temperature changes sound annoying.

I like your five on Friday post! It’s a great way to spotlight the new books you discover. That’s great you got some time to visit this week, I noticed you stopping by my blog :).

I am looking forward to hear what you think of Sea Witch! It sure looks good. I hope you’ll have a great week!

    • He was very good with it, he is a bit more scared now only because before I think he couldn’t see us coming lol
Winter is coming back next week, I really just can’t with it anymore
I love that feature and I spend so much time looking around amazon I figured I wold share.
So far the book is pretty good and the characters are very likeable.

  6. The kitties are so cute! Sometimes pets can be quite funny. I love keeping up with their Instagram. 🙂 I hope Calliope learns the way of treating soon. It is no fun being bitten! I was able to accomplish some tasks this week, too. I feel a little bit more in control of the blog, but I still have more to go. Have a great week!

    • Thank you, I am hoping so also. They are also extremely hungry kittens. I feel like they are going to eat me out of house and home! Lol
I need better control because I feel like when I get it together, it suddenly falls apart again.

    • Thank you, we never thought we would like cats but when we found our first one 15 years ago we fell in love with having a cat in the house. We have a dog also.

I am hoping this week is a little warmer and it stops raining.

    • These two just sort of happened, we planned to wait but I just couldn’t those faces. They don’t replace her but they fill the void or empty that I felt.
I haven’t watched Outlander yet, I am hoping to be able to do some binge watching of it in the summer.

  7. The Queen’s Rise looks really good to me!

Don’t worry about the kittens– they’ll chill out eventually! Do you give them catnip-filled mice toys to grab and bite? The orange kitten has an unusual face, round eyes instead of almond-shaped like most cats — they’re both cute! Enjoy your new furbabies!

    • It sounds pretty good too, but I never heard of it. Looking forward to trying it soon.

Thank you! His face is very unique and we can’t get enough of it. He has a chromosomal abnormality so his nose is a little crooked and his eyes are different. She has it also a little but it’s not really noticeable. We think it’s the reason someone got rid of them. They are my babies! 🙂

    • I watched Bates Motel over the summer and have been waiting, very impatiently I may add, for season 5. I can’t wait to see how it ends. I considered binge watching it again before watching 5 but I want to finish Season one of Riverdale so I am not sure if I will have time. I might watch the last few episodes to just refresh my memory. 🙂
