Monthly Book Report ~ Month 5 of Year 2019…I’m doing pretty good!

Posted June 3, 2019 by Michelle in Monthly Book Report / 3 Comments

I finished the Can you read a series in a month but before the end of the month, Madison Faye came out with another book in the series. I plan to read that as soon as I am finished with my current read or at the same time. This series was sooooo good! I loved every minute of them. They are so fun and the first 4 books give you a 360 view of the events that happen in the first book. I highly recommend reading them in order.

I enjoyed an audio books and also a proper romance. I plan to listen to another book this month but not sure which one yet. Overall I had a great reading month just not a very good review one. For a review blog I don’t have that many reviews. I have a few that I need to write so I am hoping next month will be better.

COYER has started so I am hoping that the next month will be a very productive reading month as well as review and blogging. I know I keep saying that but one day I just might actually be correct. 🙂

Challenges

2019 Reading Assignment ~ Summer Semester

I ended the Spring Semester with a D. So Summer is only Two months (we messed up the sign up, it should be 3 months but it will be fixed next year) So this will be a light month for this challenge.

  • 2019 Reading Assignment ~ Summer Semester

    • Mrs. Author Luv ~ Madison Faye ~ 3 credits (3 books a Month)
    • Professor Genre ~ Fantasy 1 credit
    • Professor Mix-It-Up ~ 1 credit
      • June ~ Hot Dog Girl
      • July ~ Rebel of the Sand

2019 Anthologies

  • Realms and Rebels: A Paranormal and Fantasy Reverse Harem Collection
Seriously not doing so good with this challenge, I am kind of sad how bad I am doing but I still have time to maybe at least finish this book.

2019 Bookish Resolutions

  • Read 25 Books Already on my Bookshelf or Kindle ~ 6
  • Read 20 Physical Books from my Bookshelf ~ 8
  • Finish 3 Trilogies this year
    • The Books of Babel series by Josiah Bancroft
  • Goodreads Goal 100 Books ~ 39
  • Start 3 New Series with more than 5 Books ~ 2 so far
    • Blackthorn Mountain Men Series by Madison Faye  (8 Books) Read 4 so far
    • Royally Screwed Series (7 Books) ~ One more to go.
  • Spend an hour a Day Reading <—doing very good with this.

I have decided to bail out of the two challenges below. Reading assignment is proving to be a lot of reading. I might jump on again next year but for this year these challenge are done.

2019 Pick a Theme

I am not doing good with this challenge at all. I thought I would do better but I haven’t been sticking to the list I made so I might try something different but I will start it in June. I am ignoring April and May! 🙂

  • Jan – Fairytale Retelling ~ 3 book
  • Feb ~ Reverse Harem  ~ 2 Book
  • March ~ Middle Grade ~ 1 book
  • April
  • May

Tackle my TBR 25-36 Books

I honestly can’t remember what the rules of this challenge are. I think it’s books on your TBR before this year, at least that is what I plan to do. I’ll add a total each month

  • March – 5 book, April 6 books,

Thanks for stopping by

Have a great day and Happy Reading!

  1. That tricky Madison slipping another book in. LOL I enjoyed polishing off my series, too. I’m doing COYER and Summer Reading Assignment with you. It will get challenging when I go on my trip, but that’s okay. I’ll probably still get some reading done then. Even one big anthology off the list is better than none. I think you’re doing pretty good all things considered with real life stuff. 🙂
