Monthly Rewind ~ May 2014

MonthlyRewind

Lots going on in my personal life and the first time in forever that I DNF 3 books. I have come to realize after this month that I can’t spend a lot of time with a book that just doesn’t click with me. I honestly feel that if after 4 day you have no interest in reading or if you do read you are easily distracted then the book isn’t holding your interest and you need to let it go. I wasn’t able to visit all my favorite blogs and I have been very quiet on Social media but now that things are starting to look better I should be back in the swing of things soon. Plus I have been neglecting the blog the last two weeks but I am back and ready to give 100% 🙂

I participated in the Clean Sweep Arc Challenge and read a few books but never hit my goal but I did ok with all the personal stuff I just didn’t have time to read like I had hoped.

I had a lot of great posts this month and the Sign up for COYER. So excited about it since we are doing a more laid back one and I have a ton of books to get to. I am hoping to make a dent in my reading this summer. I am going to change my goals and focus on my Shelf books, Netgalley and Edelweiss after attending BEA.

I was at BEA on Friday, May 30th, I had so much fun and got lots of signed books. I was hoping to get a few more but I realized going one day doesn’t leave a lot of time to stand and get signatures so my sister and I just winged it. I spent a lot of time by the Spencer Hill booth since I love their books and discovered a few new ones that I can’t wait to read.

So lets recap the month

I wanted to read more in May but some personal stuff got in the way. My goal is to read at least 10 books this month or maybe even more. July and August are my real reading months with school out and trips to the shore I should have lots of time to read. I hope 🙂

So how was your month of May? Did you have a goal of books to read? Did you read everything you wanted?

Lets Chat!

Hope you all have an amazing June and

Happy Reading

    • I use to do longer just can’t do it anymore. Don’t have enough time in a day to read as it is lol pointless to waste on a book that’s not clicking with me 🙂 I just started going over what I might read and I was getting excited about it . YAY!!!

  1. Hooray for BEA! Perhaps I’ll see you there next year? 😉

Too bad Shatter Me wasn’t working for you! I have a kind of love-hate relationship with that one, but OMG, Unravel Me just made my emotions explode! I have no words for how much I loved it. I’m waiting impatiently for my library to get Ignite Me which they ordered months ago, and apparently still hasn’t come in! Boo!

    • I feel bad I couldn’t finish it, maybe reading it would be better then listening to it on audiobook. I would love to see you a BEA next year lol
