out with the OLD: 2020

January 2020, I was so excited. I was going to kill reading this year…..anyway, that didn’t happen. Do I even need to explain?…Moving on…..

in with the NEW: 2021

Regardless of what 2021 has to offer I plan to make this my comeback year of reading and reviewing. I am hoping that by the time December 31st arrives, I will complete my Goodreads Goal of 50 Books. However, I am ok with not getting to 50 but I am still going to try. For 2021, I plan to set my goal once again to 50 but this time, I am also commit to reviewing all 50 books that I read, regardless of page numbers, how long it takes, or if I even like it. That is correct my friends, if I DNF a book I plan to tell you why I DNF’d that book or do a group post with all the books I DNF’d. I usually don’t do that but I feel like for a review blog, I really do lack reviews. With that being said, I also plan to review stuff I watch like series and even documentaries ,plus I need to share all the podcasts I listened to because I have listened to a LOT!

I think going into 2021 I have a great plan and I feel like no matter what happens, 2020 has taught me to expect the unexpected and not to stop my life for things I can’t control. I am so ready to read/review all the books. I am also hoping to get back to spending time on my friends blogs and enjoying your posts. I know one of the things I miss the most is chatting books with friends. I also want to find more blogs to follow and more friends to chat with. Like I said regardless, I am planning to make 2021 an awesome year!

Favorite Books this year

I didn’t read a lot this year but of all the books I did read these were my favorite.

Ready to be totally blown away? I only had ONE 5 star read this year.

Michelle had a crappy 2020 reading year, see what she has planned for 2021 Share on X

  1. Yay for reading in 2021! The rest of the year may suck, but I’m at least looking forward to the books and reading. And my bookish friends, of course. 🙂 I had forgotten about Goldilocks. That is one I want to read. Wish you all the best this coming year, Michelle.

  2. Yes, go for it, Michelle! I like your plan and I do monthly DNF posts if needed. I had a lot of them a few years back when I was really hitting my older books on the shelf that I think I lost interest in and that’s why they were still there. 🙂 Anyway, cheering you on for your 50 books and reviews.

  3. I think its safe to say that for all of us 2020 was horrid and we ALL had huge plans ahead for it. Its why I am keeping my goals small for 2021. Just because I have a feeling its not going to be quite as tough as this year as been but it won’t be smooth sailing either to recovering from it all.

Good luck with your reading in 2021 and hope its a year of joy and delights for you.
