out with the OLD: 2015
Read, review, repeat…That is pretty much what I have been doing this year. I have no intentions of changing that but with 100 books read this year, I am over the moon ready to step up the reading game and spend some more time really getting to those books I want to read and not just books I have to review. I did a lot of blog tours this year and I realized that maybe I need to be a little more selective when it comes to what books I read. I did enjoy all the books I read this year but I also think I missed out on so many because I felt like I needed to read those books.
in with the NEW: 2016
This year I plan to read what I want and get to those books that I have been wanting to read for a long time. I never intended to do so many blog tours but I will do a few if they are books either on my TBR list or book 2 in a series. I feel like this year I spent so much time trying to figure out what to read and when it has to be read and wasn’t enjoying just read. So this year all the books I read are ones I really want to and not just reading to get it read.

I think that is a great goal. If you start to force yourself to read too many books because you have to, it won’t be fun any more. I’m very selective about the books I take in for review for exactly this reason. I hope you have a great 2016.

I want to read more of my own books this year after going through and seeing how many books I have plus all the ones on my kindle, I just really need to read my own. Though I still have a click it habit with NG and EW I am going to try and cut down on it..or hope too…lol. I already have enough 2016 books to last a while but I can’t help getting all those cozies and mysteries and well…every time I visit someones blog there is a book I want….lol. So trying to put more on my wishlist and less on the I have to read cause I clicked it list…lol. 🙂
I have been doing very good with the cutting back but I know I will find more at some point that I MUST have but that is ok, I will read them eventually I hope. I just don’t want to stress about it much anymore so I plan to try and read as many as I can that I already have.
