We sit for hours looking through our TBR lists wondering when we will ever get to that one book we were dying to read when we added it 3 months ago or maybe even a year. As our piles get bigger we realize there is just not enough time in a day to read all the books that we wanted to read. So I had a great idea, pick 3 books from my TBR Pile and have you all pick which one I should read next. This is a month MEME and you are more than welcome to join be my posting your voting post in the linky below. Need the rules? No problem you can find them all right HERE. 18683809Chasing the Star Garden (The Airship Racing Chronicles #1)
by Melanie Karsak
325 pages
An opium-addicted beauty.
An infamous poet living in self-imposed exile.
An ancient treasure about to fall into the wrong hands.

Melanie Karsak’s Chasing the Star Garden takes readers on a thrilling adventure from the gritty opium dens of gaslamp London to the gem-colored waters of the ancient world. Lily Stargazer, a loveable but reckless airship racer with a famous lover and shattered past, reluctantly plunges into a centuries-old mystery in a romantic adventure best described as Dan Brown meets Mary Shelley.

It all begins on one of the worst days of Lily’s life. She just lost the London leg of the 1823 Airship Grand Prix. To top it off, a harlequin fleeing from constables shoved a kaleidoscope down her pants, told her to fly to Venice, then threw himself from her airship tower. What’s a girl to do? For Lily, the answer is easy: drink absinthe and smoke opium.

Lily’s lover, Lord Byron, encourages her to make the trip to Venice. Lily soon finds herself at the heart of an ancient mystery which has her running from her past and chasing true love and the stars along the way.

*Due to steamy scenes and depictions of drug use, this novel is intended for mature readers.

  1. I’m planning on participating in this next year as my random reads goal for 2015. This year I did a meme called random reads where I picked a new book each month based on a random number generator. My plan for next year is that I will pick the books to read each month through the random number generator and then let my readers choose. It will be a challenge to keep up with this, but I hope to keep up throughout the year. I voted for Chasing the Star Garden. I hope you enjoy.

    • Glad you will be joining 🙂 We have a challenge that has to do with sticking to certain reads. You can find it on the link above called 2015 Assignment Challenge. It might be something you would be interested in 🙂 Thanks for stopping by and voting

  2. Haven’t heard of any of those, so I went for The Bagman, because I love books that have some kind of “game” in it. I hope it’s full of some kind of game and is a fun read, if it gets picked. 🙂 Enjoy!
