I have the summer lazy very bad ~ WIR & TSP

WIR vectorstock_43821-1-1Week in READ-view is a post I have posted on Sundays telling you what I have been up to this week and what I read or am reading. The Sunday Post is a meme sponsored by the awesome Kimba at the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Real Life & Blog News:

Well I messed up my calendar and scheduled all my reviews that aren’t written yet for August instead of September and then posted on last weeks WIR & TSP that it was coming up this week. My summer lazy is getting worse. I really can’t wait for fall. Everything Pumpkin season is upon us and I am hoping to get some of my routine and brain back in September when we stop traveling a lot and our weekends are spent home relaxing and cleaning….well not cleaning. πŸ˜‰

Well I’m not sure how to handle this but My TBR List Pick The Forbidden Library isn’t working for me but I am not posting it as a DNF because I want to finish it I’m just not in the mood to read it right now. I have read a bit of it but it’s very slow and I just wanted to put it aside and try again another time. So that post next Saturday will be a non-review πŸ™‚ and I’m not sure it will include a giveaway since I have a few giveaways going on at the moment and my blog budgets for this month is now in the red. Next months My TBR List is going to be a Meme where you all can join me and pick your own books for people to choose. It should be fun and the rule will be the same just instead of me doing it by myself it will be be a group thing :). I’ll have more details this week.

Still working on a bunch of new stuff for the blog but the summer lazy is attacking that also. So I plan to really start that come September and bail out completely on anything else but reading until the summer is over, that way I figure I will have a bunch of reviews set up for September and a few new things for the blog. I have one that I am really excited about that involves my kids once in a while, it should be fun.

On the home front things has been ok, nothing to crazy just waiting to find out when the kids go back to school. It should be a little crazy this week finishing up my daughters summer homework and getting all the info on my sons bus that takes him to school. I am sure that will be a pain since every year we have had a problem.

Buttons is back to 100% and is as bitchy as ever. The 6 new members of the family are also doing very good but they still don’t understand that they all don’t fit in the house.

I think we need a bigger house!

    • I use to have a cleaning lady a very long time ago and I miss her lol I told my husband I would love to have her come back for just once a month and I’ll maintain the rest of the month…he said no πŸ™

Hermit crabs are fun to watch πŸ™‚

  1. We went back to school a few weeks ago but that week before about made me crazy. So many details to get organized! It’s so lovely to be in a routine again though! While I don’t love pumpkin flavored food I love the pumpkin smells! There was a spiced pumpkin candle that I almost bought yesterday. It made me crave baked fall type foods! Have a great week!

    • Yes I have a bunch of school supplies to get still and summer homework to finish. I love pumpkin everything season πŸ™‚ I can wait to start fall cooking, yummy comfort foods.

  2. Bea

Aaah, the summer lazies. I have had that too. πŸ™‚ However, I am not looking forward to pumpkin everything, shudder. Pumpkin is bad enough but with the spices, blargh, yuck, ick. πŸ˜›

I hope this week goes better for you!

  3. It’s end of summer and hard to keep up with everything… can totally relate. We’re scrambling with all the back to school stuff too. Loved the COYER birthday post, that’s awesome how you guys got started with this. Very cool.

I’m starting to look forward to fall too , actually. Now that I’ve accepted that summer is almost over… πŸ™‚

  4. I have been lazy lately too. I’ve been reading a lot but I’m not writing the reviews. I know I am going to regret that! I could have reviews scheduled into October if I would only sit down and write them. I have some plans for October. I’m just hoping I can get myself organized and make them happen.

    • I am 100% with you! I have stuff that I need to do that is important to November and I haven’t even started. I am hoping this weekend coming up will give me the push I need πŸ™‚

  5. I wish I could be lazy for a few days, I constantly feel like there’s another thing I must do. But yeah it would be a nice to get back to a new routine in september, although I always hate those first few weeks where we’re trying to fit into our new routine again. I am curious about the new ideas you have for the blog.
And lol at the hermit crabs trying to fit all into that house!

    • I think I am more lazy with the setting up of blog posts and the new stuff I want to do. Around the house it’s still the same except for the cleaning I have been lazy with that too. Not done a big cleaning in a while but I will once the summer is over just not home enough to do it. The first week of the new routine is always crazy!

I can’t wait to share the ideas they should be fun and interesting (I hope)

  6. OOOO, you got Chained by Night! I read the first one and absolutely loved it but it was the teaser for this one at the end of the first one that really grabbed me! I’m starting it really soon πŸ™‚

I remember the bus situation! UGH! I always ended up driving him but I had the luxury to do that – hated it, but it had to be done or he was sitting on the bus for 45 mins. I’m so sorry… the beginning of the school year headaches!!!

Hang in there and just read, read, read!!!!

    • So far every year something has happened with the bus. Either they are late, never show or have the wrong info drives me crazy. I wish I could drive him but I work in the opposite direction. They I have anxiety about him being in a car with people I don’t know. I wish there was another way but I just can’t think of one πŸ™ it is a huge headache

I have to be honest and say I haven’t read the first one yet but I plan to have a one after the other read soon because I have been looking forward to reading it. She is my top author, her demonica series is MY FAVORITE!!!

  7. You were very very wise not to buy too many books – it takes so much longer to read and review them than to simply buy them lol ! Enjoy the lazy summer thing while it’s still here, after all, winter is coming (fall is already here !). Have a great week πŸ˜‰
