Real life & Blogging:

Kittens Don’t Sleep…Like I actually had to put her down for a nap just to get a few minutes of peace. She’s like a toddler on speed. We picked up our new bundle of joy on Thursday and she is a hoot. Auggie and Dexter seem to have taken to her a lot faster. Calliope needs a little more time and hisses at her. However she also hisses at Auggie so it might be just a Calliope thing.

When she’s not zooming around the house and bouncing off the walls, she is usually taking a dip in the water dish or chewing on everything. She hasn’t been fixed yet since she is still little which I hope calms her down once she is.  She also has a hernia that will be fixed when she is spayed. I plan to also get her a microchipped once I can get to see my own vet. She is so affectionate and just loves everyone in the house. Purring constantly. We are all so in love with her but good gravy she keeps us on our toes. I forgot what a handful an active kitten is. The other two were a lot calmer and still are when they aren’t playing. I do love a good organized chaos in our house.

The weather has been insane, we with have hard storms or it’s yucky hot. I miss the fall/winter. Work has slowed down a little but and this weekend was the first one that I didn’t bring anything home. I can finally get back to do other work and things I had to put on hold until after we slowed down.

I am working on organizing my blogging stuff but I am still rather slow with it. The blog isn’t going anyplace and we will be back when we are ready but for now we might just post on and off. It’s like a surprise.

Books:

This might be the slowest I ever read. Not that I am not enjoying my books I just seem to be reading at a snails pace. But I am hoping to finish my current read this weekend and moving onto my TBR Book as soon as I am done. I also am still reading The Kings of the Wyld…See I am reading super slow 🙂

  1. She’s so cute!! But kittens are whacked… I’d almost forgotten their level of crazy when we got our first in 8 years a couple of years ago… They grow up fast though. Enjoy watching her get up to her mischief! It’s much more fun than the news at the moment and much better for the mental health. 😉

  2. “a toddler on speed” lol. Kittens are crazy but so fun and cute. I imagine you do have your hands full! It’s been hot here too. It’s only in the 80’s the last couple days but it was 90’s most of last week and that was awful.

Goldilocks looks pretty good. Hope your reading picks up (and mine too haha).

    Stay safe this week. 🙂

  3. I’m extremely allergic to cats but she is cute. I’m still glad we rescued a 1.5 yo dog who is trained and calm. We are all doing what we can. I feel like I should be getting more projects accomplished but I seem to read a lot of COVID and political news. UGH. It’s like a train wreck I can’t stop watching.

Have a wonderful week and stay well!

  4. I’m not really a huge cat person but there is absolutely nothing cuter then a kitten – especially someone else’s kitten! She’s adorable and I’ve enjoyed all the pictures I’ve seen. My mother just got a kitten as well and made a similar comparison to the toddler on speed. It’s thoroughly enjoyable form this side of things but I do love seeing your adventures. Enjoy your books and have a great week!

  5. Oh she is so precious!! Completely adorable! I don’t know how chaotic a kitten can get, but if it’s anywhere near to how our dog was , I feel you. You definitely don’t have time to get bored lol. I am very curious to read Mexican Gothic. I see it on everyone’s TBRs and I am so intrigued. I hope you love it! Stay safe and happy reading.

  6. Glad the kitty is doing well! I am totally with you on the heat. It’s been horrible lately. I can’t wait for Fall to actually start. Might be October for us though as September tends to run hot these days. Yuck. Lol.

Nice new reads! Those are new to me ones, but I hope you enjoy them all!

  7. If I ever got a cat I would want that color of one! Super cute, though I do still like Auggie best. 😉 Hope you like Mexican Gothic, I am curious about what you will think.

    Have a great week!

  8. Lol I can just see your house full of animals 😂. I love it! Not that I need one more thing to worry about right now, but once Dante is older and we have a house – definitely some more animals.

Hahaha I love it – it is a surprise when we post 🤣😂. We’ll find our way back to normal someday. Have a great week. Hugs!
