Books:

I was able to read my current read but didn’t finish it like I hoped because the end of the week just got super crazy and then Uber lazy. It’s ok, I plan to finish it as some point today (Saturday)

Madison Faye had her books taken off of Amazon for reason she can’t seem to figure out. She was (if you remember) my obsession for the last few months before she was removed from Amazon. Well she is back with an entire new series and they are being released once a week (on other platforms not Amazon) and she has about 3 more to release. I purchased the first 4 and I can not wait to devour them. I have missed her books so much.

Real life & Blogging:

  • Monday was Daughter back to school
  • Mom and Dad 52nd Anniversary on Tuesday and had a Therapist come to chat with me and my son
  • Son had school pictures on Wednesday and super busy at work.

My husband’s Surgery was on Thursday, we had to be at the hospital at 5:30AM since his appointment was 7:30AM. The doctors car broke down so of course he was running late but eventually he came, the procedure was done and we left the hospital at 12:30PM. It was a very long morning and by 1:00pm I was out like a light. I hate getting up early unless it is to get on a plane to go to Disney.

My husband did very well and can how hear. The tube will stay in his ear for about 6 weeks and should fall out by itself. He had no pain and the doctor said it had a lot of fluid build up. He can’t lift anything heavy for 2 weeks and will just try and take it easy as to not make the tube fall out sooner.

Friday the kids went to school and as I sat to do a little work, we decided to watch Captain Marvel and Avengers End Game. So I didn’t get anything done. I enjoyed both movies but End Game wasn’t as awesome as I had thought it would be, it was VERY slow in the beginning, but Thor was hilarious. I also cried.

Saturday (today) my daughter has cheer pictures at 2:30 and a game at 5:30. So today is basically over before it even started.

Sunday, I have no plans, I plan only to move just enough so people can tell I am still alive. I am exhausted and so very glad this week is behind us. Dentist for the kids Monday and the rest of the week should be an ok week. fingers crossed praying to all the gods jump in circle, spit on ground, amen <-I made that up

Blogging will get done today (Sunday) and I also have a few design jobs to do before Monday. I am planning to get up rather early to get everything done.

What I am watching:

Still binge watching Criminal Minds. As much as I want to take a break from it, I can’t seem to stop watching it. I am hoping to throw in some horror watches, going to see if I can get my husband to finally watch Haunting of Hill House with me and the first season of AHS. Tonight (Saturday) we are going to watch the new episode of AHS, since we missed it on Wednesday.

What I am playing:

Actually I have been making people and building houses on the Sims. Haven’t really been playing. I did play a little Star Stable this week since I do miss my horses so very much. I am going to try and play at least once a week since that always helped me destress. The game as great ASMR.

Just for Fun:

  1. That’s too bad that author you like had her books taken down by Amazon, but that’s great she’s back with a new series on other platforms. That’s good news your husband surgery went well and he can hear better now. Sounds like you’re having fun with your Sims and Star sable games. I’ve been enjoying an aquarium simulation game.

  2. I like the festive blog header! Very cool. 🙂

Glad to hear your husband’s procedure went well and that you’ve managed to get your hands on more Madison Faye books! It sucks that amazon pulled them… I hope she manages to get it resolved eventually.

I enjoyed Endgame but I know what you mean about the beginning being VERY slow. It takes forever to get to the good stuff… Then I bawled like a baby. I don’t know if I’ll ever feel the same about the MCU phase 4 as I did for the first few phases.

  3. What a busy week! I think this week will be that for me so I am also glad to have Sunday to just be at home, even though it’s in the 90s. UGH. I am so happy the surgery went well and he had no pain and can now hear. And it’s wonderful now you have more Madison Faye to read. I hope this week is even better!

  4. Love the painting and the commentary that goes with it!

I’m glad your husband’s ear-tube surgery was successful. It must be such a relief to be able to hear again.

Did Ms. Faye ever find out why her books were removed from Amazon? That must have been so frustrating for her.

I hope this weekend gives you some much-needed rest, and this week is not as crazy-busy!

    • She never said why they were removed, or it’s possible she can’t say anything for legal reasons. I know she had a lawyer and was working with Amazon to find out what was going on.

Fingers crossed, this week nice and slow.
He said it is great to hear but now everything is so loud. We have been yelling for the last 3 months, we need time to adjust too. 😉

  5. I am glad his surgery went well and he can now hear better! Though he might regret that…lol. 😉 Hope you are able to just rest and relax today.

So there is a simsathon book readathon that happened back in June on booktube. I just seen a video of the other day and I totally thought of you…lol.

Have a great week and happy reading!

  6. Glad that Madison Faye was able to get her books out despite Amazon’s BS. Hope they’re great! And Fraterfest of course sounds amazing. I love all the October-y stuff. 🙂 Glad to hear too your husband’s surgery went well.

I like it when games make good ASMR- they can be so relaxing,

Love that graphic- so true lol! Have a great week Michelle!

    • I think since it has been so long and she got lawyers involved they just let her go of her contract. She went almost 2 months with no book sales. That must have been so hard since she cranks books out so fast but thankfully she was still writing while she was waiting for it to be resolved.

October stuff is always my favorite! The last three months and even Jan is always the best when it comes to fun posts.

Star Stable is just the best for that. I sometimes don’t even do the quests and just ride around the map, it”s so beautiful and I get lost in it.

  7. Wow. That is definitely a busy week! My week was just plain exhausting work wise. And then there’s the daily struggle of trying to find a new job that’s the slowest moving front ever! Last time it only took me 7 months to find one and let’s just say I’ve been looking wayyy longer than 7 months now. Sigh…

Nice new reads! Those are totally new to me ones but I hope you will enjoy them all!

    Here’s my StS

    Have a GREAT day!

  8. Lol yes, justifiable homicide!

What a busy week! And I just realized I never called you back Friday 🙄. Is a newborn a good enough excuse? Sounds like it was overall a pretty good week though, even if it was super busy. I hope your plan to move only enough they know you’re alive works out!! HUGS!
