On & Off the Blog:
Welp, I am back. Things still aren’t 100% around here but a distraction is really what I need. I am not sure when things will get better and it seems someone in the universe has it out for me but I figured I can’t really do anything about it and I might have something coming up that will change all that but I have to be patient and even if it doesn’t, I still need to be patient, which is something I hate being. At this point I have no control over what is happening and I just need to continue on and hope for the best and that things will work out.
I am still working currently at Barnes & Noble and while I love being around books, the pay isn’t very good. So we are really struggling financially and that is what is stressing me out the most. When you can’t put food on the table it’s a hard pill to swallow.
Limabean Designs is still open for business but it’s a slow process trying to find clients but I have a plan (fingers crossed), it’s just again going to take some patience to build up. I also have an instagram for Limabean Design, if you get a chance head over and give my page a like!
CHEER SEASON IS FINALLY OVER! That is another reason why I have stopped doing Blogging and Sunday Posts. My daughter has had comps since January and it has been every weekend. I can’t wait to catch a breath. We have been all over the state of NJ, Two weekend in Atlantic City and we went to Florida for a weekend. It has been crazy busy but we are super proud of these girls. After switching gyms in December this new gym has some issues but at the end of the day we have decided to stick with them for another year. It’s a good gym and I think next year will be even better. They worked so hard this year and even won Grand Champions! Super proud of them.
The rest of this week was just a regular week, today we are celebrating Easter with my family since my mom and sister are going to Florida and will be away next week. We will still do Easter next week with just the 4 of use but it will be nice to have everyone together today.
Read & Currently Reading:
My reading has SUCKED! I just can’t seem to finish a book but that doesn’t stop me from grabbing them. Since I am so behind on organizing my reads I don’t have pictures of all of them. So I am going to skip it this week and at some point do a post with all the books I grabbed in the last few months.
I am currently reading Goblin, not as scary as I was hoping but it’s not bad. Dead Silence is going to be next because I am looking for a good, ghost ship, type of story.
What I grabbed this week:

Sending hugs, Michelle! I know they aren’t much help, but know I am thinking of you. I enjoyed your FB posts and photos of cheer season. I know how busy you all must be. The break will be nice, I am sure. Between my mom, my daughter’s dance and work, I feel like I have little time for blogging too. 🙁 I miss it. I have Dead Silence on my TBR shelf to read. I hope you enjoy it! I hope you have a good week! Take care!
Sounds like life has been extremely busy for you. I hope with the cheer stuff over for now you can manage some down time for yourself here and there. A little Me Time here and there does wonders! 🙂
Glad you were able to carve out a little time to blog again. Sounds like life is very crazy. I certainly understand the huge negative of working at Barnes & Noble. I’m sure more of us would willingly work there if the pay were awesome.
Hey Michelle- how are you? I feel like I haven’t blog visited in ages! I’m sorry to hear things are going tough. The world’s a rough place right now, especially financially. Congrats on the cheer championship though- that’s awesome. We’ve been doing something similar with color guard and it’s been busy!
Dead Silence was a trip!
I’ve been following you on Facebook and Instagram and have been so proud of how amazing Julia is doing! I know you will all be glad to have a bit of down time though. I will keep all my fingers and toes crossed and send all the good vibes possible that some new opportunities will open up for you. Virtual hugs and lots of good wishes. Have a wonderful week!
I hope things calm down for you and you are able to get back into reading. I also hope your designs take off. I have been thinking about redoing my blog but no money for it right now.
I’m feeling similarly Michelle, last month was tough, and this month just took a dive too. I hope your situation improves soon.
Wishing you a great reading week
Hopefully things turn around soon! I know how defeating it can feel when you think the universe is out to get you. At least with cheer over you can breathe a bit!
Sounds like you’ve been busy. I hope you have a great family celebration today.
The books you are reading sound good. Even when I’m in a reading slump, I end up adding more books to my stack.
Have a great week!
I hope with cheer season done you’ll have a bit of breathing room. I’m glad it was such a great season for Julia! I’m not patient with myself either. I keep looking for things to do to improve every little thing. It’s an ongoing process which is sometimes tiring when I don’t feel like things improve enough. I hope it’s a great week!
