Books, Vet and a Break~ WIR & TSP

Posted November 22, 2015 by Michelle in WIReadview / 22 Comments

WIR&TSPWeek in READ-view is a post I have posted on Sundays telling you what I have been up to this week and what I read or am reading. The Sunday Post is a meme sponsored by the awesome Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news, post a recap of the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

On the Blog & Real Life:

Julia’s party last weekend was great, she had such a great time. Only 3 girls came but they had so much fun and had a lot of time to play together and bond better in a small group. The girls loved being here so much they didn’t want to leave. πŸ™‚ So the party, in my book, was a great success.

So my beautiful fluffy princess Buttons (cat) had to visit the vet this week because she has an on going issue with her eye. I might have mentioned it before but this time it sort of came on rather quickly. Since she is 13 it might happen a lot more often as she gets older but the medicine the Vet gave us works great. We now are just waiting on blood work, since they wanted to check her kidneys and liver so I am praying everything comes back normal.

I got lots of bookmail this week, well not lots but 2 packages and I was really excited. Thank you Capstone for the books I can’t wait to read them. I will post the pictures of the books below.

I am taking a short break on Wednesday to Saturday. Just need to clear my head a bit but honestly you probably wont even notice I am gone. Going to spend the time celebrating Thanksgiving with the family, decorating the house for Christmas, working on my planner calendar for the end of the year and next year and focusing on doing my Out with the Old, In with the New Posts. I will be back on Sunday for the Sunday post to chat and post pictures of the house all decorated πŸ™‚

Guess what is back?

  1. It is good to hear that Julia had a fun time. I hate it when people don’t RSVP but it is nice to have a small group of guests. Sorry to hear about Buttons. It is so sad to see our pets sick and I hope she feels better. I hope you have a great Thanksgiving and I can’t wait to see your Christmas decorations.

Aaaw, sorry about Buttons.I hope she won’t be too uncomfortable. It can be distressing when our pets get older and have health issues. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for her.

I’m glad Julia had fun at her party; kids should enjoy their birthdays. Sometimes a small group is more fun or at least I find that to be true. πŸ˜€

Have a good week and happy Thanksgiving!

  3. I’m glad the party went well and yes a small group can often be more manageable and it’s less likely that cliches can form and others miss out.

Sorry to hear about Buttons and I hope everything’s okay.

Have a nice break later this week!

  4. My grabby hands wants those graphic novels and that Stalker cover made me sit and *growwwwl* LOL

I’m so glad Julia and her friends had a great time! I had larger birthday parties when I was a kid, but the ones I liked best were the ones with just a few close friends.

I got the {{{posivibes}}} going for Buttons. Hope everything turns out fine.

We’ll also be decorating for Christmas this coming weekend. πŸ™‚ Have a great week, Michelle!!

    • Stalker has a great cover but the story was ugh! They are very cute, I want to read them with Julia.

I do think the smaller parties are much better, really got a chance to get to know the girls. Would totally do it again next year.

Thank you, I am hoping her eye gets better quick and her blood work is normal.

I can’t wait to put up the decorations I just got two elves that are now in the living room and I got yelled at because it’s not Thanksgiving yet. Bah Humbug! Live with a bunch of Scrooges! πŸ™‚

  5. I am glad Julia enjoyed her birthday party, sometimes smaller groups are better. I hope everything goes well with Buttons, that’s so sad she has trouble with her eye and I hope it’s nothing worse. Bookmail is always exciting, especially when it’s a book you’re looking forward. The books you got this week look really good. I like the cover for Baker’s magic, so pretty!

I hope you have a great thanksgiving and enjoy the break! Have a great week!

    • She has had the problem her entire life, she was good for a long time and then 2 years ago it started again. Its treatable but we have to make sure to get it early and treat it quick otherwise she could get an ulcer in her eye.
I was so excited about the bookmail. I had asked for the graphic novels but wasn’t expecting Scrap City, that was a very nice surprise, the book is HUGE. I can’t wait to read it.

  6. I’m so glad Julia’s party went well. Sometimes smaller groups are the absolute best. Poor Buttons! I’m glad to hear the medicine works though. Hopefully she’ll be back to her old self soon. Enjoy your break! Sounds like you’re going to be seriously productive! Have a great week and a happy Thanksgiving!

  7. Sorry about the kitty’s eye. Having a small birthday party sounds like a good thing – less stress all around.
I am still debating how much to decorate for Christmas. We’ll be in FL at y sisters for the holiday, but then we have a party here New Year’s Eve and I always “deck the halls” like crazy for that.

  8. Hope you have a happy Thanksgivig with your family! And hope your furbaby feels better soon. It’s no fun when anyone is sick! Glad the party went well! Sounds like the girls had a lot of fun πŸ™‚ Enjoy your new books and have a great week!

    • Thank you Lillian, I am hoping in just a few more days we will see a difference in her eye. It always makes me nervous because I don’t want her to lose her sight.

It was a lot of fun the girls played with all the toys, we watched Inside Out and had lots of snacks and dessert. My daughter was so happy….so was I πŸ˜‰

  9. You sure do deserve a break, Michelle, and it’s good that you’ll have Thanksgiving so you can spend the time offline with the people you love and are thankful for πŸ™‚
I hope Button’s eye will continue to improve !
have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.
