Week in READview

On & Off the Blog:

New Years was quiet, I had my sister and nephew over and we watched the finally of stranger things and counted down to the new year. It was a nice night just being together. I also bought enough food for everyone on the planet. My Italian blood likes to feed everyone even if they aren’t coming over.

The rest of the weekend was taking down the decorations and trying to get Real ID appointments for husband and daughter since they leave at the end of the month. My mistake for not realizing how hard it is to get an appointment but it wasn’t early. My husband was able to get his but my daughter will get hers I am hoping on Thursday. The requirements for 18 year olds is crazy, she doesn’t own a house and doesn’t have a job. We got her a checking account so I am hoping that will work.

Worked on a few things on the blog this week as well as worked on COYER Stuff (see above link if you are interested in joining) Also started setting up some posts that I am hoping to do in the next couple of weeks. One post I want to do is the books that I have grabbed in the last few months. Now that my daughter is obsessed with books, she is enabling me to get more. It makes me very happy 😉 So I might be able to do a few posts because there may be a lot.

Been playing lots of games this weekend also, totally obsessed with Two Point Museum and Cult of the Lamb. Such good games and so much fun. Good way to unwind.

Now that the holidays are over it is time to get things together. I have hopes for this year but I plan to take it one day at a time. 🙂

  1. It’s easier to get a passport than a Real ID which is insane. I still haven’t gotten mine because I can just use my passport when I fly but I need to just bite the bullet and get it done. Happy New Year and have a great week!

  2. Happy new year! My daughter is 18 too – so an adult, but we still have to be adultier adults. LOL So happy for you that your daughter is getting in to reading more. Thanks for sharing 🙂

  3. Glad you a nice holiday! We didn’t really do anything for NYE, which was nice. It was nice to just chill and not have a house full of people. I mostly read in my spare time. Had a headache that was in and out for most of New Year’s Day which was annoying as it interrupted my reading time. Lol. Hope your husband and daughter can get their IDs in time. I feel like ours always take awhile to come in. I’ve got another two years on my ID, so unless I find a house sooner I don’t plan to update mine before then, but it is a real ID already so I’m good there! Lol.

Nice reading material! I keep meaning to start this author. I have this book and the the first book of her other trilogy she wrote but just haven’t managed to circle back around to it yet.

    Happy Reading this week!

    Here’s my StS

    Have a GREAT day!
