Week in READ-view ~ Sept 22

HAPPY FALL MY FRIENDS!!!

It’s that season of Pumpkin Everything, Apple Picking and Pies, Soups, Stews, Crisp and Chilly Nights and I love when it gets dark early. I also LOVE Halloween can’t wait to dress the kids up and take them trick or treating. At least I hope I can this year, the east coast got slammed two years in a row on Halloween so this year would be great if we get to take them out.

So last week was a crazy week and I really didn’t read as much as I was hoping to. My hours changed at work so I now seem to not have a lot of time to do anything. It’s rather frustrating.

On Saturday I had my HTML and CSS class and I LOVED it. I should be a coding machine in no time. I can’t wait to start creating web sites. I am very happy I decided to go back to school. I actually want to continue after my certificate program is over. If we have the money I just might 🙂

I have been trying to come up with a few things on the blog in the coming weeks. With October right around the corner I have been trying to come up with a few posts that are nice and spooky for the season. My favorite part of October is the entire month of scary movies on Scy-Fy channel. I thought of posting some of my favorite moves and books. Even a day that is dedicated to kids books and movies that are just right for the season. Also keep your eyes out in the coming days as my blog design is going to get a Halloween make over 🙂

Here is what I was able to read this week

What the Heart Wants by Stacy Hart

You can find my review on goodreads by I will have it up on the blog this week LOVED this book 🙂

I am in the process of reading Through Glass by Rebecca

I had jumped it ahead since it needs to be done by the end of September

I am having a bit of trouble getting thought this book.

I have my fingers crossed that it gets a better. It’s a bit slow 🙁

I think I will be reading these books next.

1.    Endless by Amanda Gray (Blog Tour on Oct 8th)

2.    The Megalith Union by Brad Lamar

3.    Alienated by Melissa Landers

Of course that might change. I put The Devils Tattoo aside for now since the tour isn’t until Nov. but I really wan to read it and and I believe it will be after Alienated.

I have been trying very hard to get my list of FREE books to read for the Challenge I am hosting with Burls from Fantasy is more Fun. I am having such a hard time picking all the awesome books I have. I actually have narrowed it down to all the Netgalley books as the ones I plan to read for the challenge.

Have you signed up for it yet? Well you still have plenty of time. The link closes on October 1st so get your name on and join us as we Clean Out Our E-readers. You can find all the details and sign up HERE.

I started a weekly feature on Saturdays called My To-Be Read List it is were I share a book from my TBR list with you. Maybe it’s a book you read and HATED  or a book you LOVED and want me to read NOW or a book you never heard of. I figured…I will randomly pick one book each week to share with you 🙂 This helps me figure out if the book should stay in my TBR pile or I should let it go.
Feel free to join me next saturday if you want on Saturdays posts just link your post in the comments and we can share the books on our TBR list to help figure out what might stay and what might go 🙂
So what did you read this week?

I am now off to sit and try and finish my book I do hope I can finish it today
I do hope you all had a fantastic week.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday

and

Happy Reading

  1. I hope you can get out for trick or treats this year. My biggest problem is my son refuses to dress up. I want to go back and take a few classes but with my kids and work schedules it just doesn't jive. That's awesome that you are doing it.

    • My daughter did that one year. I bought her a costume and she refused to put it on so I just bought cute black and orange pants and a top to match it worked 🙂 I bought my son last year an awesome Captain Hook costume and he never got to wear it because of Hurricane Sandy was so bummed but he did wear it around the house to play so it made me feel a little better since it was an expensive costume
