Week in READ-view is a post I have posted every Sunday telling what have I been up to during the week and I thought it would be great to link it with The Sunday Post….The Sunday Post is a meme sponsored by the awesome Kimba at the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

HAPPY GROUNDHOG DAY
to everyone that believes a groundhog can predict the weather 😉

WOW it has been one hell of week….well two weeks really….

Sorry about my lack of post last week, I unexpectedly decided to switch from Blogger to WordPress. So I am welcoming you to my new blog on WordPress and my first WIR and Sunday Post on my new blog format. So pardon the mess, the older posts are all messed up and I plan to slowly fix them all. I am actually loving WordPress, I have had some issues here or there but without Berls from Fantasy is more fun I don’t know what I would do. I can’t thank her enough for putting up with all my questions and going over everything with me. She is the bestest ever 🙂

LogoYesterday was my 1 year blog birthday and I have a HUGE giveaway going on right now.
22 prizes, 22 winners so if you get the chance head on over and enter for a chance to win.
Here is the link to the post GIVEAWAY

If you could share the giveaway for me also I would really appreciate it 🙂

Books and Blogging

What I read this last two weeks

 Eversea by Natasha Boyd
Forever, Jack by Natasha Boyd

Delilah Dusticle’s Transylvanian Adventure (Delilah Dusticle, #2) by A.J. York
I read the first book last year and I just loved Delilah this one was so cute as well.

I am currently reading
Her Mad Hatter by Marie Hall

My next read I’m going to need a couple boxes of tissues The Fault in the Stars by John Green

I was a good girl the last two weeks and didn’t download any new book

What else is going on?

It’s been rather crazy the last two weeks. First we had a huge snowstorm that dumped a good 10 inches on NJ, then my son had pink eye and sadly I had to say goodbye to a friend. It’s been a roller coaster of emotions but things are starting to settle down now and get back to MY normal.

Next week should be a much quieter week (I hope) my sons birthday is on Sunday so we get to celebrate all weekend with parties and yummy food and maybe even a trip to Cracker Barrel for a birthday lunch.

But now I am going to cook some dinner and get ready to watch the Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet…always makes me want a house full of fluffy little puppies.

Also don’t forget

We had such a blast back in November 2013 with COYER that we decided it had to be something we did three times a year. We’re making a few changes to make it better (we hope), but it’s pretty much the same. The concept: Have you been a little over eager with your mouse when browsing Kindle Freebies? Or maybe those books on Netgalley/Edelweiss were just too hard to resist? Are your free reads sitting in your E-reader, neglected, just waiting for when you have time to get to them? Well now is the time with the “Clean out your E-reader Challenge” Join us March 1st – 31th with the Clean out your E-reader Challenge hosted by Fantasy is More Fun & Because Reading is better than real life and start cleaning out your free or nearly free E-reads! Not only will you get to those reads that have been sitting unread for too long, but Two participants will have a chance to win prizes in our Review Posts Giveaway AND will drive more traffic to your blog – Find all the details and Sign Up HERE

So tell me what have you been reading and up to this week?

Let’s Chat…

Hope you all have a fantastic week!!!

Happy Reading

    • It’s so easy to switch. I used Nosegraze instructions. I kept my blogger up for a couple days till this one was done and I at least tried out a post or two then I closed the other one. I am hoping once I take my wordpress class in April I can offer my services for people who wish to switch.

  1. That is so fantabulous that you switched to WordPress so quickly and almost effortlessly, at least it looks that way from here!!!!!!! I see no mess at all!!!

Yep, I’m feeling your snow pain, too. But pink eye?!?! Poor baby!!! UGH!!!

    Happy one year!!!!

    • It really was so easy, not sure why I was so worried. I am only having one issue that I have the tech support for my hosting service checking into.
It wasn’t to bad, the pink eye, we got it rather quick and thankfully no one else in the house got it.
      Thank you!!!

  2. The new blog looks good! Sorry the older posts are giving you trouble. Are you self-hosting or are you on the free WordPress.com site?

Yes, you will need tissues for The Fault in Our Stars, or so my daughter warns me.

    I’m sorry you had to say goodbye to a friend. That is never easy, for whatever reason. {{{hugs}}}

    • I am Self Hosting. I have to fix all the old posts but I was warned it would do that. I am going to slowly fix them. It will give me practice with how to use wordpress.

I will make sure I have a huge supply of tissues 🙂

      Thank you <3

  3. Congrats on switching to WP, hope it works out well. I’m sure it will. Hope you have a great weekend and party too, and enjoy the puppy bowl. I’ve been told we’ll be watching it as well, and probably the kitty bowl too. Sigh. 🙂

    • I’m watching the Kitty Bowl right now, I fear watching it is making me want to be a crazy cat lady. and maybe even a crazy puppy lady too. I’m going to need a bigger house or a zoo 🙂

  4. Congrat on making the switch to wordpress. I made the switch myself a week ago and so far I am loving wordpress. I see you are using the Tweak Me theme too, it’s awesome, isn’t it?
And congrats on the one year, reaching that one year mark feels so special!

I am curious to hear what you think of the Fault in Our Stars, it’s on my to-read list too, but I am kinda afrair to read it. I keep hearing great things about it, but also that it’s making people cry or get book hangovers from it.

    • I really do like it and OMG the Tweak Me is great totally made it look like my old blog. I am so very happy with it.

I have been so scared to start The Fault in Our Stars. I lost my BFF 10 years ago (not to cancer but Cystic Fybrosis) so I am hoping this doesn’t destroy me but I really want to read it, if it gets to intense I can always put it aside and pick it up again when I calm down

    • So do I get bonus points for starting the book already? lol I was going to mention the feature but I thought I could do it next week when we figure out all the details for 100% sure. I might have been able to do it without you but I really don’t think so 🙂
