Week in READ-view is a post I have posted on Sundays telling you what I have been up to this week and what I read or am reading. The Sunday Post is a meme sponsored by the awesome Kimba at the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
Real Life & Blog News:
I had a great week, first time in a long time. It was a little crazy with my mom away because she gets to kids off to school so I had to this week, we also have been so busy at work, it’s been great because the days go faster 🙂 I read two books this week and I am so excited that I was able to finish them. I have one I am reading now due on Monday fingers crossed I finish it because I am getting very nervous.
So now we have 7 hermit crabs because this sucker of a mom had to go to the pet store to get food for the hermits and my son wanted another one after the one he liked died so instead of getting one we got two and now we have 7….I must be insane.
The week I worked on a bunch of blogging stuff, I am going to do a random Top Ten Halloween Post throughout the entire month, it will be Top Ten Halloween Movies or Scary Stuff, whatever as long as I can think of a list I will post it 🙂 My first one is this week. I also am doing two guest posts one is on October 3 for Books, Movies, Reviews! Oh My! I am so excited for you all to see it, it came out great and I think I’m going to use a version of it on my blog in the coming weeks. I also have one for Fiction State Of Mind, not sure the day yet but when I know I will let you know 🙂 My one new feature will preview this month and I am so excited to share it with you since I have been hinting the last couple of weeks. I believe it will be ready for posting next week and perfect timing for Halloween. I also had another feature but I realized I need more time to figure out the details, I can’t wait to share it with you all.
So the title of this post states that I sprained my finger. Well Saturday I was putting the groceries away with my husband and we started joking around by throwing the empty bags at each other then we got into a bit of a play type fight and of course it’s all fun and games until someone sprains a finger. The pain was intense and I’m pretty sure I was crying. It wasn’t my husbands fault since we were playing but as the day went on I noticed it swelling and then started to turn black & blue, I went to the store and bought a splint for it but if the pain, swelling and/or Black & Blue get worse I am going to have to go to the hospital I know they really can’t do a lot but I just need to make sure its not fractured or broken but I am pretty sure it’s just sprained, it just hurts like hell!!!

Ahhh yes, mucking around with the hubby always ends in tragedy! Happens to me too… Hope the finger is better.
Thanx for visiting My Weekly Wrap-Up!
Naomi @ Nomi’s Paranormal Palace
It wasn’t to bad till I found out it was broken 🙂 but slowly it’s getting better
Ouch!! Hope it’s nothing serious! Never sprained a finger *knock on wood* but I’ve been the culprit a few times when my brothers and I were kids… Hehehe… Maybe they’ll give you some nice pain meds to make it all go away 🙂
Your books are awesome! Hope you’re enjoying them! ♥
7 hermit crabs, yep you’re crazy…NOT! We have two and I’m the one who wants more, not the kids LOL. Although I’m sure they wouldn’t complain 😉
Hope the finger gets better soon, whether it’s broken or not.
Take care and enjoy your new books.
I do enjoy them as much as the kids 🙂 and sadly it is broken 🙁
Kind of funny how you sprain your finger, but I do hope it gets better fast. I know that has got to be hard typing for any post you might have coming up. I have never known anyone with so many hermit crabs it’s funny! 🙂 Hope you enjoy your new additions. (You have as many hermit crabs as I do dogs..lol)
Have a great week!

Life’s a lot like work. The busier it is the faster it goes:) It sounds like you got a lot done though. What did you think of Raven? I’ve not started it yet. It will be part of my October reads thoguh. I’ll be posting all kinds of scary themed stuff for the month.
Loving the series! Raven was just as good as crane but I liked it better 🙂
Seven hermit crabs?1 Do they breed like rabbits? At least they don’t take up a lot of room!
Sorry to hear about your finger, and I hope it gets better soon. Must make it hard to type up your posts.
Have a good week, and I hope you get that book done in time! (You can do it, I know you can!)
Thank you 🙂 it does make it hard to type and it’s my mouse hand. Work is going to be very difficult on Monday.
We bought the seven I don’t know how they breed lol never thought of that…I hope they are all boys 🙂
Seven crabs… well at least they shouldn’t get lonely. Looking forward to your Top Ten/ scary posts, I’m all about that stuff now that October is almost here. Should be a fun month around the blogosphere.
Shadows Fall Away looks good, and awesome cover. Looks like a great October read definitely… 🙂
Yes It should be a fun month for visiting I love all the scary stuff 🙂
Shadows Fall Away isn’t to bad its a good Jack the Ripper story and I am rather fond of Jack’s story (or interested I am amazed he was never caught!)
Ouch, your poor finger! It’s a good idea to get it checked, just in case. Though, honestly, sprains are often worse than breaks. I hope it heals quickly.
So much planning you’ve been doing, I can’t wait to see everything unveiled. I hope you get time to read this week and good luck finishing your tour book.
Both my Husband and Daughter sprained there ankles and they both said it’s very painful. This I’m sure is a sprain its painful and annoying lol
I feel bad I keep saying that I have stuff planned and not showing it lol but I promise it will be revealed this month!!!
Sorry to hear about your finger! It’s amazing how much those kinds of injuries hurt. It’s like stubbing a toe. I have a high pain tolerance but that makes me want to curl up and cry. Glad you had a great week! I’m curious about the Raven. I read a Poe-ish book not to long ago and it definitely fell short so I’m looking for more. Hope next week is great but without injuries!
The first book in the series was Crane. It was really well done. 🙂
I also have a pretty good tolerance for pain at least I thought I did but fingers and toe stubbing can totally make the strongest person fall Lol
Happy awesome week!! And actually, I think you’re a great mom for getting 2 hermit crabs. That’ll be something your kids will remember when they’re older and they say, “remember how crazy mom was to buy us all those hermit crabs???” 😀
You are being good with the review books and freebies!! Me? Not so much – I will pay dearly later for it but meh… Happy reading today!! I get to email a publicist later that I’m only rating a book a 3 for her blog tour (ouch!). Not fun… blech!
Hope you have another great week!!!
I forgot to say take care of your finger!!! Ice it, girl!!! Then some ibuprofen!!!
Oh, so sorry about the sprained finger…and sprains are often sooo painful.Feel better soon!Your new books look great…enjoy! I am curious about Shadows Fall Away.My poor kids are probably telling sad stories about their \\\”pet deprived\\\” childhoods…I was a single mom with no grandmas nearby to help, so no pets until they were old enough to assume care themselves…My updates are at my Serendipity blog.
Pets are hard work. We have a Cat, Dog and 7 Hermit Crabs but I thought it would be good learning for my kids but when I was young it wasnt allowed to have a dog or cat but when we got older we had a few birds. As soon as I moved out I bought a dog 🙂 and now look what I have LOL.
Thank you, it was a goofy thing to do and it hurts but I keep thinking it will be better before I know it and then we can laugh at how goofy I am for spraining in a play fight with my husband 🙂
I agree sometiems it’s nice to be busy so the days go faster. Aww 7 hermit crabs now, I am sure they like beign in such a big group. I don’t know much about hermit crabs, but for rats for exmaple it’s better to always buy them in pairs so they have someone of their age to play with.
I haven’t got anything special planned for Halloween for the blog, but I’ve been busy preparing for sci-fi month in november and writing and scheduling some posts for this month. I am looking forward to your halloween posts and your new feature 🙂
A sprained finger, that sounds nasty! I didn’t even realize you could sprain your finger. It’s always so sad when you’re playing and it’s fun and then someone get’s hurt. I hope your finger recovers soon, must be difficult to do anythign with that hand now.
They are a group type of animal. They are pretty easy to care for but you just have to make sure they have water so they don’t dry out but so far they seem rather happy. Your rats are adorable and I am not a rat girl.
I actually didn’t really plan anything either but once I did the guest posts I realized they came out cute I will do them on my blog too and add a few more. I have a few scary things I plant to post.
I didn’t realize how painful it is. Typing is a bit hard but I have a method now lol. I haven’t tried cooking yet but I am sure that will be fun 🙂 We were laughing and it just was like BAM! I was in tears!
