During the month of October, I asked a few of my friends, what their favorite Monster is (some are not so scary) and what book(s) they read that they loved that associated with the Monster they picked. The answers are great and the recommendation are even better! Enjoy!

Z Is For Zombie
My obsession with the Zombie Genre Began with the classic movie Night of The Living Dead. The horror classic still stands the test of time because of it’s human component.
Zombie movies are about more than the shambling dead. They are a reflection the times they are made and evolve more then many other horror genres.
For me the true thrill is watching how humans react to the unrelenting zombie hordes. You never truly know who you will be once the zombie plague begins. Will you be predator or prey, victim or oppressor?
These facets of human personality play out spectacularly in the apocalyptic landscape of a zombie world.
Here are some of my favorite zombie consumables!
Novels
The Girl With All The Gifts, Zom-B and Breathers
Comics
Afterlife with Archie, Sabrina, The Walking Dead
and Revival are amazing comics exploring zombie fiction in all it’s forms.
Movies & Television
Warm Bodies, 28 Days Later, The Walking Dead, and Dawn of the Dead are films I return to every year.
Hope you give some of this content a try! Happy Halloween!

I remember seeing Night of the Living Dead – but I have to say that I’m not a big zombie fan in my reading. I don’t know why but maybe I’m a sissy! LOL I’ve always wanted to read Warm Bodies though. Thanks for sharing your favorite monster and books, Kai!
I definitely prefer the light hearted zombie to the scary one. I liked warm bodies (the movie, didn’t read the book) and I love White Trash Zombie. I have enjoyed walking dead – but more for the drama than the zombies. It’s a little gross for me lol! Great post!
I wish I liked zombies more, I need to give another book a try and see how it goes. Those comics look good! 🙂
I like post apocalyptic world of a zombie outbreak more than the zombs themselves, so I gravitate to stuff like TWD. And I Saw Zombies Eating Santa Claus cracks me up. 🙂
I own that Zombie Christmas book and am going to have to dig it out and give it a read this December. Zombies are my husband’s favorite monster so we’ve seen TONS of zombie films – good and bad!
