4 Star #Review ~ Eleanor, Alice, & the Roosevelt Ghosts by Dianne K. Salerni

I am not even sure were to start this book was super cute, I wasn’t aware of the relationships in the Roosevelt family and I ended up doing a lot of research finding out Eleanore actually married her cousin 5 times removed (I think) I also wasn’t aware of the tension between Alice and Eleanor but I have to tell you the spin with the paranormal made this a really fun, historical read.

Alice comes to live with her aunt since she is a bit of trouble but she loves her aunt and promises to be good. Her cousin Eleanor is a little odd and plain, she currently lives with her not so friendly grandmother. Eleanor isn’t very happy she wants to go to school in London but her grandmother has other ideas for her. In this world ghosts can infest a house. Sometimes they are friendly and sometimes they were so out of control the house had to be vacated and torn down. When a ghost shows up in Aunt Byes house turns out to be not all that it seems.

Honestly this was not what I was expecting but it was so cute and such a great read. I loved that it sparked a bit of mystery for me when it came to the family and I found myself lost in research about the Roosevelt family. I love the characters in the book and I really liked the story. The alternate world was something I wouldn’t mind going into with other younger famous historical people.

Overall, I highly recommend and think it would be a great read for younger and older. Would for sure suggest this the next time a friends asks for something to read for their kids. 🙂

Thanks for stopping by to check out my review.

Have a great day and Happy Reading!
