4 Star #Review ~ To Kill a Kingdom by Alexandra Christo (quick review)

Posted June 6, 2019 by Michelle in Review / 3 Comments

I had originally started reading this book but when I realized I wasn’t going to have time to read I decided to grab the audio and listen instead. I honestly loved this book. I loved how they spun the story and it had a bit of a little mermaid feel but so much better.

The story was told in two different POV’s so each POV has a different narrator which I loved. Lyra and Elian are just fantastic characters. Lyra is a strong independent girl trying to prove herself to her evil mom but she has a kindness that she isn’t aware of. Elian is a prince that doesn’t want to be a prince. I loved how complicated both of these characters are and the narrators did such a fantastic job giving them a voice.

Overall, I really did love this book. I found some of the voices were weird in the beginning but as the story went on it really didn’t bother me as much. Whether you listen or read, I highly recommend this books! Such a great story!

Thanks for stopping by to check out my review.

Have a great day and Happy Reading!

  1. Glad this was good! I’ve seen other good reviews for it too- it does sound like a good read (or listen haha).

    I love complicated characters!

    • It was really so good. I really loved the characters so much. Really an interesting take to mermaids and maybe even a hint of the little mermaid story.
