This started off pretty good then half way through it took a major left turn and I was totally confused. Libby has loved her stepbrother since they meet and Jasper has felt the same way. For years they have denied their feelings for each other but now they can’t seem to keep their hands off each other and they don’t care.
I was good when this started. I lot of tension and protectiveness that makes you feel like Jasper was a great protective guy. I liked how much he loved her and how much she loved him. I honestly didn’t realize until the half way point how awkward the relationship was. It was creepy possessive, like in the middle of him realizing they both liked each other he started calling her baby girl and while fooling around he asked who’s your daddy now? I’m sorry…what? Plus they were both virgins but he seemed to have a lot more experience than a virgin would. It was an unhealthy possession of her and she didn’t seem to mind at all. When they finally had sex all he wanted was to get her pregnant….Did I miss something? All he talked about was planting his seed and getting her pregnant. I was so confused. The last half totally spiraled out of control and I just sort of didn’t understand what I was reading and rolled my eyes more often than I had wanted.
I didn’t like the possessiveness he had over her and it wasn’t romantic. Every time he told people, she’s mine like she was a dog, I wanted to punch him. The sex wasn’t bad and when the parents found out I was even more confused. Overall, it was ok, not my favorite stepbrother/sister book.

Like that was all he talked about, it was no love, not even close. It was creepy and what bothered me was that she didn’t seem to mind. The parents reaction was like WHAT?!!
So much ick on the who’s your daddy now comment! Can’t get past it! I think that’s on my top ten list of things that should never ever be said.
It was creepier since they were sort of related. That would make a great bookish top ten lol. Might have to start paying more attention in books 🙂
Sounds like a strange book, but then I think all the stepbrother/sister ones are just to taboo….lol.
