Good Week, Lots of Ideas and More Ideas ~ WIR & TSP

On the blog:

Something happened to my brain this week and it was in full idea mode. I have a TON, yes a TON of new ideas and fun posts for the blog. I am actually very excited about it. I did a lot of brainstorming and even maybe came up with a new challenge idea, however, I think I might do it first and see how it goes because it is in two parts and I am not sure it actually counts as a challenge. Not sure what to classify it as so I want to try it out first. If I can get it done and worked out it will be this month if not it will wait until June. I have a lot of fun writing posts planned and a lot of fun Five on Friday posts and discussion posts. I am so excited. After last years life slump this is just amazing.

I am working on Blog Ahead this weekend since during the week it’s harder to do blog posts with everything going on and I have found a rather nice flow with doing things onΒ the weekends. Even if we make plans at the moment I am pretty much ahead so yay! I am hoping this Blog Ahead will get me even further and all I would have to do is fill in the weekly posts (I think I have one) and reviews when I am finish reading books.Β so YAY again!!!!

Like I said, last year was a bad year for me and I am ready to rebuild my blog and get Limabean Designs off and running in a better direction. I have had some AMAZING clients to work with but I want to do more. I love designing, I have been doing it for over 20 years. It’s my confidence that has made me struggle but after some thought and a nice chat with a therapist (my sons) I am determined to stop letting and other things get in my way because …I know I am really good at what I do and I know I can make people some amazing things (that was what the therapist said to say it and believe it…and I do) So I am exited for what is coming for Limabean Designs, I actually have a pretty solid plan. I will have more details in a few weeks. But if anyone is looking for Design Work I am ready when you are! πŸ™‚

In Real life:

My son had an ok week, his issues are still nothing like they were and we are seeing a calmer and easier to control kid. A lot of times you can tell he is still trying to be angry but it just doesn’t seem to work like it did before. Even at 12 he is still immature for his age but trust me when I say this is NOTHING compared to how it was the last 6 months. It’s been rather nice. πŸ™‚

The weather apparently gave up and it’s now freezing, which makes more sense, since it is winter.

What I’m Watching:

Look I would love to say I was watching something new and exciting but I am still watching Bones. HOWEVER, I had a new idea and this might make me have to stop watching Bone and watch a few other things. πŸ™‚ It’s a wrestling weekend so I will be watching WWE Fastlane tonight and only 4 weeks until Wrestlemania.

  1. I’m glad your son is still doing pretty well! And that’s awesome that you have all those ideas for the blog. I don’t know; maybe I’m getting burnt out after 7 years. I just don’t feel the enthusiasm I used to — for the reading, yes, that’s still there, but not always for coming up with ideas and doing cool posts. And I feel like my reviews are getting stale. (Hmm. Maybe there’s a post in that…!)

  2. We watched Fastlane last night too – except for the hour we flipped to The Walking Dead. I wasn’t really thrilled with it but am always happy for an excuse to see Goldberg. Glad you are able to blog ahead some. It really does help doesn’t it. I’ve been trying to weed my way through some review books when all I really want to do is read the library books I have out. Hope you have a wonderful week and glad to hear your son is doing well. And by the way, I thanked you on my blog for the graphic you made for me and Stormi (2 bloggers, 1 book) but in case you didn’t see it – thanks, it’s awesome!!!

  3. Yay for getting things going! It feels so fantastic to be full of ideas and motivation! Can’t wait to see what you’ve come up with. Glad things are still calm with Ryan. I know it’s scary when your child just isn’t himself. Good luck with blog ahead and have great week!.

    • I have a notebook full of ideas and print outs with notes all over them. It looks like chaos but I know what it all means.
I am doing ok with Blog Ahead, doing a lot of drafting and hoping this week, I will be able to start doing some solid posts for next few months.

  4. You are so creative!! I can’t wait to see your Five on Friday. I like doing lists but I have a hard time doing the Top 10 Tuesday (it’s hard to find 10 things lol). I hope you are enjoying The Creeping Shadow. I love this series and thank you for introducing it to me. This is a series that is an automatic audiobook purchase for me. It’s good to hear that Ryan is doing well. I hope you have a great week!

    • Thank you! πŸ™‚
Five on Friday is my favorite right now, it’s like a top ten but for five.
I find the Top Ten Tuesday to be very hard. I want to do one myself and just make a list of whatever I can think of bookish and non bookish. I have a very hard time following along with others lol πŸ™‚

I am glad you liked the series, I love it and loving this one. I am about half way finished.
Ryan is doing pretty awesome. A few things need to be worked out but overall he’s doing very good.

  6. Yay for inspiration and ideas and being ahead on posts! And I’m glad to hear things are still going a lot better with your son πŸ™‚

You have me curious about what this challenge thing is! Not that I’ve ever participated in a challenge other than the discussion one lol. But I’m still curious πŸ˜€

    • Thanks Kristen, it’s been a productive week πŸ™‚

I am not sure if it will ever become a challenge but I am planning to try out my idea in the summer since I am still working on the details and think summer is a good time for it πŸ™‚ However I am never against anyone joining me when I try things out.

  7. I know what at least one of your ideas is!! Boy did we brainstorm that one to pieces but we came up with a name…lol. I am curious about five on Friday I have heard of that but never try anything. I need to come up with something cool for my blog, start giving me some ideas since you got so many…lol.

I am glad Ryan is doing so well and I hope it continues.

I am glad you are trying to revamp your Limabean Designs, you can do it! πŸ™‚

    Have a great week!

    • Five on Friday I sort of made up, I only heard of another 5 but this is different and I am doing it alone lol
I do have a few idea and that one I finished the logo finally πŸ™‚
The challenge isn’t going to be but we can talk about that later with Berls. We both had an idea.

He is doing pretty good! And I revamp might be needed but I might keep it similar because I still actually like the logo. lol

  8. That’s great that you’ve generated so many ideas! That is where I’m struggling at the moment. I can’t ever seem to get any creativity flowing for NEW material. And if by some stroke of luck I do, it uses of my creativity stores for at least six months. The viciousness. I’m also participating in Blog Ahead. So far I’ve scheduled over 60 posts, but now it is getting to the nitty gritty ones that take much more time to prepare. Good luck with your designing and reading this week!

  9. Got to love those weeks where your brain is in that mode and you come up with all the ideas! It sounds like a good week for you and I am curious about all your new ideas! And I am curious what that new challenge like idea is.

I love the Blog Ahead challenge, but decided to skip this one. I usually don’t get as much posts written during the first half of the month. And I felt like I would just feel stressed if I join now when work is so busy. Although I am doing well getting some reviews written, just not as well with other type of posts. I am glad to hear you’re doing well with Blog Ahead.

That’s great you had a chat with your son’s therapist and now feel a bit more confident. I really love your design work and I think others will too. I am looking forward to hear more details about Limabean design and I hope you can get your site up an running soon! I do understand the self doubt, it really is hard not to when there are so many others in the same field to compare yourself to. I struggle with it as well now and then.

That’s good news your son is still doing well. I hope that continues. Have a great week!

    • The challenge idea might make an appearance at as a COYER event instead so I might do something on my own.
I at the moment have done more drafting than actual scheduling posts but I am ok with that since I tend to do that during blog ahead. lol

Thank you, I think I am feeling better and more motivated, I am sure I will have self doubt again but I am hoping it wont do what it did last week. The site is almost done. I just need to do a few things and I can at least put it up. I can always tweak along the way.

  10. WOW, your creative juices are definitely flowing these days, Michelle, and I’m so happy for you! That’s awesome! It’s always nice to come up with new ideas for the blog, it makes me feel so accomplished.
I’m glad you’re thinking of your business as well, and I hope you’ll increase your design work in 2017. I’m also happy that Ryan is doing better.
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading xoxo

  11. Nice that you have great ideas for the blog, can’t wait to see what you come up with! It got cold here again too, even though the sun peeked out… it was pretty chilly. Glad to hear that Ryan is doing well. And good luck with Blog Ahead too. πŸ™‚

    Have a great week Michelle!
