I’m not talking politics, so don’t even try ~ WIR & TSP

WIR&TSPWeek in READ-view is a post I have posted on Sundays telling you what I have been up to this week and what I read or am reading. The Sunday Post is a meme sponsored by the awesome Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news, post a recap of the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

On the Blog, Books & Real Life:

I really have nothing good to report and I am not complaining, I love weeks that are just normal weeks. The mad dash to find that one toy has already started and I have two to find. I am so worried about these two because I think this might be our biggest challenge yet. It was a good week with the kids home but for me it was crazy. I did get a lot of stuff complete on the blog but I still have a bunch of stuff left to do for the end of the year. I am getting very excited for Thanksgiving in two weeks. I love Thanksgiving with all the yummy food. I can’t wait to eat!

This week coming up, the Sign Ups for COYER Blackout goes live. I can not even express how excited I am waiting for this one and getting to see all your reactions to the rules. I think this is going to be a great and fun COYER.

I read a lot this week, some books were very short and I am doing very good with the HoHoHo Rat. I am going to finish the last short book and get into another long one to close out the Read-a-thon. I will have a nice number of Christmas reviews for December and I even wrote all the reviews already.

I did as much as I could in the house so it’s ready for the decorations the day after Thanksgiving. The kids rooms are clean enough and anything else that needs to get done will have to wait until Jan. So today I plan to blog my heart out, I have so much I want to do but going to do the things that I need to do and save the rest for next year. Wish me Luck! 🙂

Last Week on the Blog:

What you might see this week:

  • Review ~ The Haunting of Littlefoot Orphanage by Martina Marie
  • Task It Tuesday ~ November and December Posts
  • Coyer Sign Up…coyerchallenge.com
  • Review ~ Jackaby: Beastly Bones

I might have other stuff but they might not be done yet when the post goes live.

  1. I thought I had left a comment on Monday, but I guess it got lost. Oops! I hope you’re having a good week and enjoying your Thanksgiving preparations.

I’m both eagerly and nervously awaiting the COYER announcement. Eagerly, because I always enjoy COYER. Nervously, because of all the dark hints you keep dropping! LOL

Hope you enjoy the Jill Shalvis novella, and that Holly Martin book looks so tempting! Happy reading, and have a great weekend!

  2. I can’t wait to find out about COYER!! I’ll be out of town when you post it but I’ll be checking Facebook for the details. I’m so glad my Christmas shopping list for toys is short. I only have 7 young nieces and nephews to buy for and the rest will be cash gifts for the teenagers. I hope you have a great week!

  3. Hey, you wouldn’t want one of those NES Classic systems by any chance, do you? HAHAHAHA… we tried 3 stores on Friday and they all gave us very sympathetic looks. I didn’t look at Amazon at 5pm est but Lauren at Obsessive did and she and her hubs had Amazon go down on them. So now I have a VERY sad son and a gift I HAVE TO FIND. ugh. This will be fun. 🙁

Awesome books this week!! I’ll have to check out Staci Hart someday. Oh, and great idea to clean BEFORE you put up decorations. I never thought of that!

    Have a great week!

    • That and hatchimals! This Christmas is going to a lot of early days at the stores. I hate they do this and I won’t spend more than it is!
You need to try Staci, I adore her books. This one was fun but I wish it was a lot longer. This would make a great series!

  4. You guys have me so curious about COYER blackout (plus I just like how that sounds). I’ll definitely be signing up. The last COYER had like what, over 700 reviews? Man you guys are rockin it! And yeah I love Thanksgiving too. Give me all the turkey and fixings and never mind the food coma afterward lol. I’m doing terrible with HoHoHo RAT tho, I basically blew that one. Oh well…

Desperate Measures looks good, I’ll have to check that one out!

  5. I forget, why were the kids home? My kids were at school all week! I only have one more week though and then we’re off for the holiday. Really looking forward to Thanksgiving break as well. Though I feel like I have so much to do, I’m not sure it will be that much of a break! Have a good week. Hugs!

    • The kids had election day on Tuesday, Julia was off but Ryan had half day and the last two days Thurs and Fri was teachers convention. So my mom stayed with them . Next week is a full week and then Thanksgiving week they have half day on Wednesday and off the last two days.

I have a lot to do also, we will both be very busy! 🙂

  6. I can’t wait for Coyer sign-ups to start and am so curious to read what kind of rules you came up with this time. Glad to hear this was mostly a good and normal week for you. We don’t celebrate thanksgiving here, but it’s always fun to hear you all talk about it :).

You sure had a good reading week and I hope you’re doing well with the readathon. I am a bit annoyed One Snowy Night isn’t 0.99$ for me on any site. I am currently reading the first book in the series and I own the third one as well thank to edelweiss, but I still want to get my hands on book 2 and the novella. I hope you’ll have a great week!

    • We made COYER more of a story this time, almost a play on a video game. I can’t wait for you all to read it.
Normal weeks are good and I think this week will be normal too.

That is a bit annoying and I went to see if I can lend it to you but it doesn’t have that option…BUMMER! I can’t wait to see what you think of the first one, I am interested in reading it.

  7. I’ve been cleaning this week too in prep for the Christmas decorations. Where we moved this summer I still have boxes everywhere that I haven’t unpacked. And honestly I have no desire to unpack them since we are hoping to buy a house in the spring 😂 Reading wide I’m doing good. Only read 2 books so far for the HoHoHoRAT but I am planning to read another today. I’m with you on trying to find the present this year for little man. He’s kinda in between this year. Too old for the toys in his age range and not old enough for the next ones. Hope you have another good week!

    • If we ever move I am leaving everything here and starting over lol I can’t do boxes (I’m just kidding)
I just went to Toys R Us Website this morning to see what was available and saw a few things on sale, I am sure they will be cheaper in the coming weeks but I can’t afford to wait and bought a bunch of stuff. I am freaking out this year more than last year. My son just doesn’t want a lot, he’s in between, no toys but more video game stuff. My parents are giving him a refurbished laptop so that will be his ultimate gift and will be happy with that. Now just need to add some little things and get the one thing we can’t find. My daughter is another story, Hatchimals are going to kill me this year. My poor husband will be doing early mornings at Toys R Us to find them.

  8. Good for you that you have cleaned rooms and started getting ready for the end of the year, Michelle 🙂
Your new books look great, and I hope you’ll enjoy them all.
I’m really looking forward to COYER, too, even if I have to admit I’m a little worried about al the rules!
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading, my dear! xoxo

    • You need to read a Staci Hart book. I think you would like her (if you haven’t read her already) She is one of my favorites. I am glad I picked the new from from her up.

OMG! WAIT until you read the sign up post. I came out so good and I can’t wait for you to read it. I love the idea of this one but again not my rules 😉 oxox
