Last year Michelle read these fun, kinky Christmas novellas that were released almost daily and they looked like SO MUCH FUN. This year, she asked if I wanted to read them with her and I was thrilled to join in on some Filthy, Dirty Christmas fun. Every Monday – Friday from November 15 to December 10 they are releasing a new novella. Michelle and I are reading them as fast as we can (she’s faster than me) and reviewing them together, a week of books at a time. This week we have the first 5 books that were released. Enjoy!

He asked me to be his fake wife... I gave him my v card.
Yea, it probably wasn’t the smartest move. He’s my hot, older next-door neighbor and he looks like he would be trouble. But after one taste of my cupcake, he’s on a mission. He watches me like an obsessed voyeur, and I probably should tell him no, but when he gets in a bind, I agree to be his fake wife.
It was supposed to be a fun Christmas Eve celebration.
I wasn’t supposed to fall for him.
And I definitely wasn’t supposed to end up in his bed after one date.
Lincoln is smart, handsome, protective and exactly what I wanted... but I wasn’t ready for the next morning when I hear another woman on the phone claiming to be his wife.
Was this all a game?If so, it’s one I really didn’t want to lose.
Welcome to a filthy dirty Christmas! Forget sugar and spice and everything nice … this year we want to show off our naughty side. Taboo, dangerous, and over-the-top, we’re bringing you everything you were too scared to ask Santa for. **Don’t worry, loves, these are still packed with the heroes you crave and the HEA’s you deserve!
- what did you like/dislike about the hero?
- Michelle: Lincoln was a fun growly male hero. He was exactly what I expected and love that he was into a curvy girl.
- Berls: Lincoln was a bit too possessive and pushy for my liking in a hero. I do love that he appreciated Avery for who she was, including her curves.
- what did you like/dislike about the heroine?
- Michelle: Avery was super cute. I love how she grows a bit by the end of the novella.
- Berls: I really like Avery – she’s sweet and naïve. I like the way she’s pushing past her insecurities in this novella.
- how would you rate the romance/steam factor?
- Michelle: I love a steamy romance and this had great steam. I am all about insta-love especially in these short and sweet stories.
- Berls: The sexual tension was good and I enjoyed the buildup. The romance was okay, I don’t love the insta-love… let it be insta-lust instead of trying to give us the full romance in 60 pages.
- overall rating and why?
- Michelle: I gave it 4 stars because I LOVE over the top, possessive insta-love.
- Berls: I gave it 3 stars because of the insta-love (it was just TOO over the top for me) and Lincoln’s possessiveness.

The party is going on downstairs. My daughter will kill me.Her father will destroy me.
But Lucia is on her knees, begging me to fulfill her filthy-dirty Christmas wish with my XL Candy Cane.

- what did you like/dislike about the hero?
- Michelle: I was not a big fan of this one. Cane was sort of creepy.
- Berls: So I’m a fan of taboo relationships and strong/alpha type men. Cane was both, so I mostly liked him.
- what did you like/dislike about the heroine?
- Michelle: Lucia was groomed to want to lose her virginity to her BFF’s Dad which I thought was super weird.
- Berls: Lucia was a bit bold, considering that she’s a virgin (what’s with all the virgins?!) going after her bff’s dad. But I mostly liked her; I mean, I can’t blame her for wanting the older, sexy man 😉
- how would you rate the romance/steam factor?
- Michelle: It was steamy, it was Taboo but if they said Breed one more time I going to lose my mind!
- Berls: The taboo was the winning element of this book, but the talk of “breeding” and the emphasis on her virginity took it down a notch for me.
- overall rating and why?
- Michelle: I gave it 3 stars, I was expecting more, the breeding was irritating and it was a touch creepy.
- Berls: I gave it 3 stars because of the breeding and because I’m just tired of virgins.

Did you make his list?
Nick Kringle is one of the most inventive designers of adult toys. He's also a demanding taskmaster and wants to work through the holidays to have his newest creation ready to hit the store shelves. It's just his luck when he finds one lone toy reviewer left lingering in the break room before the Christmas Eve holiday party. If this hot little bombshell gives his new toy a glowing review, he knows it's ready to go into production.
Most people might think working as an adult toy reviewer is a dream job. But Muriel Geist is just faking her way through it. Still, she's shocked when she's denied the holiday bonus due to a poor performance review from her supervisor at Kringle Knotty or Nice Intimates. She can't go home to her younger siblings, empty-handed for another Christmas. Luckily, when she turns to head out the door, she finds she's standing face to face with tall, dark, and hot Mr. Saint Nick, himself.
Nick offers Muri triple the Christmas bonus to do a little overtime with his newest creation. For that amount of money, Muri's prepared to write him a glowing review, take the money and run to the department store before it closes. Yet to her horror, her hot boss enters the review lab with her, insisting on instant feedback. It doesn't take Nick Kringle long to figure out Muri's deception. But the fact that she fakes her… reviews… intrigues him and makes him want to show her that not only can his toys give her pleasure, but he can as well.

**Don’t worry, loves, these are still packed with the heroes you crave and the HEA’s you deserve!
- what did you like/dislike about the hero?
- Michelle: I believe this story has a first and second book. Like if you read those you would know Nick but I am thinking I might want to read the books before this.
- Berls: Honestly, didn’t get to know him THAT well. But his commitment to toy “research” was enticing. And he made a really sweet move at the end that won bonus points in my book.
- what did you like/dislike about the heroine?
- Michelle: Muri was adorable! I loved her. Her negative attitude drive me bonkers but once she was able to achieve the big O you got to see a different more relaxed side of her and it was great!
- Berls: Muri is the reason I loved this book – she’s complex for a novella. Her care for her younger siblings with absentee parents made me love her.
- how would you rate the romance/steam factor?
- Michelle: This was FUN! The steam was good and I love the addition of sex toys.
- Berls: Muri had never had an orgasm before (not a virgin BTW) so her shock when she does and the use of toys really made this a sizzling read.
- overall rating and why?
- Michelle: This was a 4 star for me, I love the characters, loved the spice and now want to read the stories about the other brothers.
- Berls: I gave it 4 stars because there was a real story here. It wasn’t just sex. I actually marked some of Ines Johnson’s other books to read because I think we met some of the characters and I want to read their stories.

I remember the first time I saw her – shining like an angel, miracle in the darkness of my life. I watched her from the shadows, protecting her, but as a crime boss, I knew I couldn’t make an innocent like her mine. At least not until I went legit and left that that all behind me. But now Callie is in danger and I’ve been forced to come out of the darkness to protect her. I’d hoped to keep her from that part of me, but now with the cops chasing me, all I can do is pray for a Christmas miracle to keep the sins from my past from destroying the future I desperately want with the woman of my dreams…
- what did you like/dislike about the hero?
- Michelle:He was started off interesting, I do love a Mafia book but it sort of was weird. Like he followed her…EVERYWHERE.
- Berls: Ok he’s a stalker so that should be creepy. But this is book land where creepy can come off as sweet and protective. I liked that he wanted to protect her from his life.
- what did you like/dislike about the heroine?
- Michelle: She wasn’t my favorite, desperate maybe.
- Berls: I found her contradictory. She ran away from school because she can’t handle her ex, but she blows up his car? She didn’t want to have sex with her BF but she sleeps with this guy the second she meets him?
- how would you rate the romance/steam factor?
- Michelle: It was ok, I think I was just thrown by him that it was sort of a rush through the sex scenes.
- Berls: The sex was like most of the books with a virgin (blah), but there’s something romantic about a rich guy who dresses you up and rents a spa for you lol
- overall rating and why?
- Michelle: I gave it a 3, love a mafia romance but hated it in this story.
- Berls: I gave it 3.5 stars because there was more to the story — I liked the reformed bad boy angle and dealing with the ex, it added to the romance quite a bit.

A Filthy Dirty Christmas
She’s my boss’s younger sister and completely off-limits.
Of course I don’t know that’s who she is until after we’ve spent one very hot and very naked night together. I already know she’s mine, now I just have to prove it to her. It would be easier to do if she wasn’t avoiding me. But I didn’t work my way up from a migrant farmer’s son to one of the most highly paid professional football players in the league without learning a few tricks. I’m Mateo freaking Cruz! I’ll pull out every trick to claim Fiona Carlisle. What’s a little kidnapping between lovers?
Welcome to a filthy dirty Christmas! Forget sugar and spice and everything nice … this year we want to show off our naughty side. Taboo, dangerous, and over-the-top, we’re bringing you everything you were too scared to ask Santa for. **Don’t worry, loves, these are still packed with the heroes you crave and the HEA’s you deserve!
- what did you like/dislike about the hero?
- Michelle: Mateo is SOOOOOO cute and I just love him and how determined he is to get his girl!
- Berls: I loved Mateo. He was romantic, sexy, puts family first, and just all the way around likeable.
- what did you like/dislike about the heroine?
- Michelle: Fiona is adorable and FUNNY. I love a curvy girl with a sense of humor and this book was just too cute.
- Berls: Fiona was a great character. I liked that she not only has self-doubt and sees herself as being shy, awkward and in both her friend’s and brother’s shadow, but at the same time stood up for herself when it matters.
- how would you rate the romance/steam factor?
- Michelle: The romance was perfect and I just loved them. Good amount of Spicy Steam.
- Berls: The romance in this one really worked for me. It’s insta love, but in a sweet way. The steam factor was also really hot, kicking off with a steamy one-night stand.
- overall rating and why?
- Michelle: I loved it, 4 stars for me it sort of just ended and I kind of wanted more. I would love to spend more time in this world.
- Berls: I gave this one 4.5 stars. It was sweet and sexy all in one. I will be looking up to see if there’s more books in this world too.
Which novella was your favorite this week? why?
- Michelle: On His Naughty List was also my favorite of the week, however Knotty and Nice was a very close second. Some of the stories I have read from this week, makes me want to go back and read about the other characters and then read these books again.
- Berls: On His Naughty List was my favorite of the week. It was one of only 2 that didn’t do the virgin thing (so big win for me) and the story had a lot more going for it than just the romance/sex. I can tell it’s part of a thought-out world with characters and plots I want to know better.
I agree that On His Naughty List was my favorite of the five. You all have me reading about one of these a day. Thanks for sharing!
This looks like a fun series, I think I would like it.
Have fun with your christmas reads. 🙂
These all sound like such fun novellas!
