Can’t get enough true crime? Congratulations! You’ve found your people.

I have a fascination with True Crime. I can’t get enough of serial killers, unsolved mysteries and just everything that has to do with murder. I wasn’t a big fan of podcasts until I found my people. My first every podcast that I listened to that dived into all things true crime is, Crime Junkies. Ashley Flowers and Brit narrate this podcast about true crimes and famous serial killers. They tell stories about missing people and unexplained disappearances. They even talk about crimes that are still unsolved and give details to make you think if maybe you could solve that crime. I often find myself talking to them as I listen.

I love how Ashley tells the story but I will be honest, Brit sort of really doesn’t add anything to it. I sometimes find her seriously annoying, especially since the show is scripted and while Ashely can tell a story, Brit can’t act for shit. I sort of wish they would drop the formal and just talk like normal people. I would love to hear a little banter about how they feel about the story they are telling and get their pointed of view.

Overall this is a great place to start when you are looking for a straight forward informative podcast about true crimes. As they get more popular I have noticed a lot more ads but I still love listening to them even after a year. I just can’t stand when someone says Full Body Chills anymore. 🙂

Here are ten of my favorite episodes…

  • Missing Bryce Laspisa – I still think about this one, like where did he go?
  • Missing Kiplyn Davis – This one breaks my heart.
  • Serial Killer L.I.S.K. ~ Still at large
  • Missing Alissa Turney – This one has a recent update as of a few days ago.
  • Serial Killer: Israel Keyes – This guy scares the crap out of me, maybe more than Richard Ramirez “The Night Stalker”
  • Murdered Russell & Shirley Dermond – Poor Russell & Shirley
  • Mysterious Death of The Yuba County Five – I really want to know what happened to them
  • Murdered Yingying Zhang  🙁
  • Wanted Robert Fisher – I don’t know what to think
  • Murdered The Longo Family – Just breaks my heart!

You can find this podcast on Spotify, Apple Podcasts or they have a Patreon with more exclusive stories. Crime Junkies is an Audio Chuck production and has a few other podcasts that are available to check out.

Have you ever listened to this podcast? Which one is your favorite

Thanks for stopping by and Have a great day!

  1. I haven’t dived into Crime Junkee yet but it’s in my list!! Have you tried My Favorite Murder? These two women aren’t formal at all and I love them so much!

Someone Knows Something is also very good but it isn’t always solved. It’s so well done though that I love listening to it.

I also really liked the first season of Serial. True Crime Garage does a fantastic job as well.

Welcome to the dark side! I’ll have to listen to Crime Junkee so I can have someone to talk True Crime with.

    • I usually listen when I’m at work and on my drive home. I’m so addicted to podcasts. In the past 6 months I’ve listen to so many. Figured I should start sharing them. Lol
