This weeks Topic:
ย Where you live
I’m a Jersey girl, one that lives up North and spent a lot of summers down South at the Jersey Shore. The people you see on the show Jersey shore does not represent anyone that was really from New Jersey, stupid show made us look bad.ย I have lived here my entire life and as expensive as it is, I can’t imagine living anyplace else. I would miss the diners, the pizza and the Taylor Ham. I love living so close to the beach and it’s nice to know NY is only 15 minutes away. It’s a place I love to call home ๐
Thank you so much for stopping by
Have a great week!
I was in NJ this past August, Michelle! We stayed in Seaside and attended a drum corps show at Rutgers. ๐ The beach was beautiful! I live in the mountains of Colorado. It’s a relatively small town but I’m only ~ an hour from Denver.
I’ve never been to NJ, are there any touristy things to do there, Michelle? I love this week’s Lofe of a Blogger question, because it’s neat to see where you gals live, and what you enjoy about that place.
I live in Geneva, Switzerland, which is actually a pretty small city, but with a very international feel. We have a beautiful lake, and we’re very close to the Alps. I love living here, because we really get good summers, and awesome winters. On top of that, we’re smack in the middle of Europe so it’s only around an hour and a half by plane to most European cities if we want to travel ๐
Have a fantastic weekend ๐
I used to watch Jersey Shore (in England we have our own version called Geordie Shore, which is set 12 miles away from where I live, and it’s just awful, but it is an accurate representation), and I just knew straight away that people from New Jersey couldn’t be like that. I used to watch The Sopranos too, and I loved looking at the houses and imagining that I lived there. I live next to the beach too, even though I don’t go very often.
The Sopranos was actually taped in my town and a few towns around me. I wasn’t a fan and only watched to see landmarks and were they filmed. It was cool to see the funeral home across from out middle school or the pork store (that sadly isn’t there any more) my favorite Ice cream place is Holsten’s the place they went on the last episode.
Jersey has its guidos but it pretty much made it seem like all Italian act like that and yay I don’t act like that LOL
It sounds like a beautiful place. I’ve never watched the show either so I don’t have any preconceived ideas. I love the vintage postcard. What’s the Taylor Ham? I’m from Australia so you’ll have to forgive me if that’s a dumb question. ๐
Taylor Ham is delicious, It’s a round patty of ham that you fry in a skillet then you put it with Cheese & Eggs, I prefer a Taylor Ham and Cheese sandwich. It’s so yummy…now I want one Lol
I don’t watch reality tv for the simple fact there is no “reality” in it. ๐
Born in OH and lived there for 30 yrs. Have lived in NC for nearly 17 yrs. I would love to move westward. NC is getting a tad overcrowded for me.
I don’t watch it either but my husband was like glued to the TV only because it was a train wreck. Gave us a bad name. I would love to live someplace nice and quiet with lots of trees, like a small little town but I don’t think I’ll ever leave Jersey ๐
I never watched that show..lol. I had always heard that folks from NJ were rude, but you are like super sweet so just go to show you that you can’t listen to what others say..lol. I think it would be fun to live up that way with NY being so close but I don’t think I could deal with the COLD!!! It gets below 50 here and I am miserable..lol.
I live in a small town in Missouri and there is nothing here but sticks..as I live in the country..lol. Town is so small all we have is one two cafe’s and one small supermarket and a dollar store. ๐ Lived here all my life too..someone come drag me away quickly…lol.
I love the cold where as the rest of the family hates it. If I moved I need to move someplace that got all 4 seasons I love NJ but I hate how expensive it is. Small Towns are nice but that seems like a REALLY small town lol
