Off the Blog:
Ok so I dropped off the planet again and am way behind but I am going to vaguely tell you why in a moment. If you figure out what I am saying, great, if not, I don’t plan to go into any more detail then what is written in this post. So you will know or have an idea why I have not been around the last few months. It’s almost like Berls has taken over Because Reading but that is not the case, I just needed time to make some changes.
Vague Explanation….For 7 years things have been a struggle, no matter what I did or how I did it I couldn’t “fix” it. The last 2 months of the year pretty much set us on a path that I wasn’t willing to do but now think it will help me better mentally and physically. My husband and I are fine, so it’s not about that. We are accepting that we can’t live how we are at the moment and taking steps to start over. So on Thursday we set into motion a way to get out of a hole we are in and start new. This has been very hard for me, but it’s something I need to get over since my OCD and Stress are at an unhealthy level. Limabean Designs is doing ok it wont be affected but it’s not close to where I want it to be due to the set back I mentioned above. I have ideas so I hope to have those up very soon. 🙂 I am happy that Berls is with me at Because Reading and after Thursday I am feeling a little bit better and think I can focus better but it might take a few months before I can finally breath again. Again, I apologize this is oddly vague but it’s the only way I can explain it without going into too much detail. 🙂
Back to the normal stuff…..I don’t have a quiet room in my house. So I usually sit in the kitchen to do all my blogging, design and other computer stuff. It sort of comfortable but it’s sort of not. The other day, I found a nice spot in the living room to sit but I hated my lap desk since it makes me hunch over but the spot is very cozy. When I was little my mom had a small folding lap table that I used to love, it has the Smurfs on it. I needed something similar and thought maybe I can make it….ya, I don’t have time for that so instead I found one on amazon and I love it. It works perfect and I plan to get one for both my kids to use as a desk for their laptop in their rooms.
I like to sit on the floor better than on a chair or the couch plus my snuggle buddy Dexter can sit next to me and we can give each other love when we need it. 🙂
Blogging News and Updates:
I haven’t done a gosh darn thing….Again thank goodness for Berls, however, this weekend I have been doing a lot of organizing and started writing reviews for books I just haven’t gotten around to reviewing yet. I was going to do a year end stat post but realized…I didn’t really keep track like I wanted to so this year I am keeping track and will do an end of year Stat for 2018. Wish me luck! lol

I am sorry to hear that! I don’t get exactly what’s going on, but it sound stressful and I hope you find a way out of it soon. I am glad it’s not your husband or business. I know what you mean about your business tough, it’s so hard to build up your business and I know I am only now I am where I want to be with Lola’s Blog Tours after years of work. I think you’re doing great and you have so many great ideas and your designs are awesome, so just keep going and hopefully your business will keep growing! Let me know if there’s anything I can help with 🙂
That’s awesome you found a nice desk on Amazon to use for your laptop when you’re blogging and designing. Potion Master looks great and your new books look good too, especially Case Closed sounds interesting. Have a great week!
Wishing you the best of luck with all you have going on. I hope you are able to find some peace and happiness!
It might take some time but I know we are doing what is best. Thank you! 🙂
I hope things get better for you soon, and I hope you enjoy your new books.
Thanks Aj, I am looking forward to the new start this will bring.
I am loving all the new books, I can’t wait to get started on some of them! 🙂
You don’t have to give details if you don’t want to. I’m just glad to hear that maybe things will start getting better for you since they’ve been such a struggle. I hope things do get better 🙂 And yay, I’m glad you found a good little table that works for you!
It will and hopefully we wont make the same mistakes again at least I will make sure this change stays.
Isn’t it so cute! I am loving it, using it right now. It’s so nice to be in the living room instead of trapped in the kitchen! lol
I’m sorry you’ve been going through whatever is stressing you out, Michelle. And while it sounds like your “way out” may be challenging at first, I hope and pray that it’s the right direction for you and your family, and that it leads you all to a happier place, whether that’s physical, spiritual, emotional, mental, and/or financial. And what a blessing that you have Berls on the blog now! The two of you can “have each other’s backs,” as it were —take up the slack when the other needs a little time.
Your new books look great. Spindle Fire has me intrigued; I’ve seen it somewhere (on a blog?) but haven’t come across a copy IRL yet.
Thank you Lark! It will just take a little bit of time but in a couple weeks things should be ok. It’s just going to take some time.
I am glad she is here, we work pretty well together! 🙂
I got it for Xmas but I have seen it around a lot. I am excited to get started with it once I finish my current read.
I hope this big change brings relief. Like Greg said, change is good but it can be daunting. Small steps and manageable pieces. I hope you have a great week.
If it all works out like we hope it will! It really is daunting, I already wish it was over so we can move forward.
I hope things get better for you!! *hugs* I almost got Case Closed but wasn’t sure how the choose your own adventure would work on kindle, but I still might get it…lol. I have my eye on a couple from Edelweiss but thought I was bad enough this week to grab from EW. 🙂
Have a great day and happy reading!
Stormi
Thanks Stormi, I am sure it will work out, it’s just getting to that part that is going to keep me stressed. I can’t wait until it’s over already .
You really should hold off at least until tomorrow! That way it’s considered a new week lol
Sending you big hugs, Michelle. I wish you the best with everything. I keep seeing Haunting Prince Dracula around and just know one of these days I am going to break down and get myself a copy. I am glad you are enjoying it. I hope you love Spindle Fire. It sounds so good! I hope you have a wonderful week!
Thank you, I think in a few months we will be good and can start over.
Haunting Prince Dracula is fantastic, I LOVE her writing and the characters are fantastic. It is such a find read but a long book and taking me longer than I wanted to read but thankfully it’s a great story.
Sorry you have been having a rough time. I hope you and your husband are doing well!
We are good! I am thankful to have him while we are dealing with things. He is a great support! 🙂
I hope you get your stress and anxiety back to normal. I am always looking for ways to help with mine as well. Enjoy the new books. Happy reading.
Thank Jenea, I believe what we plan will work out even if it sin’t what I wanted to do.
I am looking forward to all the new ones.
Good luck with everything! Sometimes change is good but it can be daunting. Wishing you the best…
Onyx and Ivory looks AWESOME, I love that cover. 🙂
Thanks Greg! I am hoping this will be the start we need to finally get back to normal…well our normal 🙂
YES that cover is AMAZING! I love it too! Plus the synopsis sounds awesome!
