Monthly Book Report ~ Month 6 of Year 2019…Not a bad month but a busy one

Posted July 8, 2019 by Michelle in Monthly Book Report / 6 Comments

June was a super busy month, with school ending and helping my dad fix up the apartment downstairs, I feel like I totally missed June completely! The first week of July I took a nice blogging break which is why this post is so late in the month. My reading wasn’t great this month but I still have the rest of the summer! 🙂  I wrote that sentence before I posted the images of the books I read and it is a lot more than I thought it would be. lol This month I am hoping to get back to having posts and doing more on the blog. The summer is always a crazy time for me but we might take it easy this year and I am looking forward to the down time.

My reading challenges are going ok, I have it a snag in one area. The Reading Assignment I picked an author for the summer semester and Amazon has deleted all her books for reasons she doesn’t know. So I was suppose to read two of her books for July but I might not be able to since I can’t download them. I hope it’s fixed soon, I still have time to squeeze it in if Amazon gets it shit together.

I am still not sure what I want to read this month but I know I want and need to read these two.

Challenges

2019 Reading Assignment ~ Summer Semester

I ended the Spring Semester with a D. So Summer is only Two months (we messed up the sign up, it should be 3 months but it will be fixed next year) So this will be a light month for this challenge.

  • 2019 Reading Assignment ~ Summer Semester

    • Mrs. Author Luv ~ Madison Faye ~ 3 credits (3 books a Month)
      • Queen Sized
      • Cherry Pie
      • His Pretty Little Thief
    • Professor Genre ~ Fantasy 1 credit
      • The Kingdom <- I might have mistake this for a fantasy when it was really SciFi.
    • Professor Mix-It-Up ~ 1 credit
      • June ~ Hot Dog Girl
      • July ~ Rebel of the Sand

2019 Anthologies

  • Realms and Rebels: A Paranormal and Fantasy Reverse Harem Collection
Seriously not doing so good with this challenge, I am kind of sad how bad I am doing but I still have time to maybe at least finish this book.

2019 Bookish Resolutions

  • Read 25 Books Already on my Bookshelf or Kindle ~ 6
  • Read 20 Physical Books from my Bookshelf ~ 10

    • Still trying to decided what to read.
  • Goodreads Goal 100 Books ~ 46 (5 books behind, oops)
  • Start 3 New Series with more than 5 Books ~ 2 so far
    • Blackthorn Mountain Men Series by Madison Faye  (8 Books) Read 4 so far
    • Royally Screwed Series (7 Books) ~ One more to go. COMPLETE
  • Spend an hour a Day Reading <—doing very good with this.

I created a new post this year that revolves around seasons. You can find the post HERE.
The post is called The Reading List – Summer and I am planning to read Fantasy (Each season has a theme). I listed a few books I hope to read and I will update on this post to the books I have read and will have an end post when the season is over! 🙂

  1. I take a bit of a break from lots of reviewing and blog posting in the summer and try to say no when I can so I get a break. Off on my camping trip starting the end of this week. 🙂
Yeah, you did get a pile of books read. Ah, that’s too bad about Amazon deleting the gal’s books. Crazy.

Hope you have a great July, Michelle!

  2. Sounds like a nice break and I’m with you about June disappearing. It was a crazy month all around I think. That is crazy and so annoying about Amazon deleting the author’s books. I hope she’s able to get that fixed soon. She has to be panicking. Good luck with your reading and I hope you get some downtime!
